In Japan, a Gambian immigrant named Mamadou Balde entered an old Shinto shrine located in the city of Kobe.
There, this extremist kicked the donation box, yanked out the bamboo pipe from the hand-washing station, and smashed a wooden box onto the ground. He also damaged other sacred objects.
After that, while intimidating a woman present at the shrine, he said:
“There is no god but Allah. There is no god here, so do not pray here.”
Before this incident as well, this extremist had also broken three statues of Jizo Buddha at the nearby Ikeime Jizo temple.
This is the result of the same fanatical mentality that directly denies the existence of others and their faith.
