Recently ran into an issue with my distributed server env (w/ parent + children) hosting a WP site. The block editor now POSTs to the REST API for uploading media. Here is the updated rule to proxy all /wp-json/* requests to the main webserver. #webdev #wordpress #devops

The old proxy rule (^/wp-(admin|login\.php) did not account for /wp-json/* requests, and media was uploaded to child servers and then deleted by lsync. Webmain needs to receive all file uploads to properly distribute to all children servers as it is the source of truth.
