Tá muid thar a bheith sásta acmhainn úr oiliúna Gaeilge agus ábhair ar líne a théann léi a sheoladh, chun tacú le hoifigigh sa rialtas áitiúil ar mhaith leo Gaeilge a fhoghlaim agus í a úsáid go muiníneach ina gcuid oibre ó lá go lá. 🙌
D’fhorbair Aonad Gaeilge na Comhairle an acmhainn i gcomhpháirtíocht leis an Fhoireann Foghlama agus Forbartha, agus i gcomhar le hOllscoil Uladh. Cuireann sí leis an rath a bhí ar na deiseanna oiliúna Gaeilge a cuireadh ar fáil d’fhoireann na Comhairle le blianta beaga anuas. 🤝
Thug an seoladh le chéile baill foirne a bhí páirteach i gcúrsaí Gaeilge, baill den ardbhainistíocht agus an Coimisinéir Gaeilge, Pól Deeds. 👏

We're delighted to have launched a new Irish language training resource and accompanying online materials to support local government officers who want to learn Irish and use it confidently in their day-to-day work. 🙌
Developed by our Irish Language Unit in partnership with the Learning and Development Team, and produced in collaboration with Ulster University, the resource builds on the success of Irish language training opportunities delivered to Council staff in recent years. 🤝
The launch brought together staff who have participated in Irish language courses, members of senior management and Irish Language Commissioner, Pól Deeds. 👏

Bhuail an tAire Airgeadais @JohnODowdSF leis an Choimisinéir Gaeilge @poldeeds tráthnóna inniu. Phléigh siad an chomhspéis atá acu i bhfiosrú na ndeiseanna le cúrsaí féiniúlachta agus teanga a chur chun cinn agus a imeascadh sa Roinn agus sna seirbhísí poiblí i gcoitinne.

Very disappointing that @duponline decided to share this on their social media. There are several inaccuracies in what was said about me today at the Committee, including in this clip, that I will address in correspondence to the Committee shortly.
Whilst other Commissioners supplied information requested by the TEO Committee, the Irish Language Commissioner took a different approach.
Following @PhillipBrett21's proposal the Committee agreed to seek advice on using Section 44A powers to compel the Commissioner.

At the BIEN launch @BelfastExposed, I was struck by how much more this is than just a programme. It’s a deep dive into identity and for me, that means celebrating the unique overlap of being both Northern Irish and British. For others from here, something different. That's what makes us-us!
BIEN (British? Irish? Either? Neither?) A chance to celebrate who we are and understand each other better.
Developed in partnership with the Office of Identity and Cultural Expression, this project shows that our story isn’t one-dimensional it’s a rich, vibrant tapestry 🧶🤝

"If Deeds and Reynolds can work together to detoxify the language debate from its association with the constitutional one – which is no less important, but separate – they will have gone a long way to creating the type of society we all want to see.
