He has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥
What my friends at ACC say about me: I have lived with cats in my previous home. I am looking for a home with a patient person. I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home. I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe. I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you. Benny is not open to interaction at this time and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. Because his previous owner reports "he can be skittish when there are loud noises but will usually want to be around people leaning in for pets when in a quiet calm environment" and has no history of behavioral issues in a home environment, we believe the behavior seen in the care center is shelter-specific and this cat would make a great pet, but is really struggling in the shelter environment. This cat is suitable for adopters with previous cat experience who are willing to work with a cat who needs time and patience to help him adjust to their new home. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻

This is Coco! She was brought in as a stray with another dog Pebbles. They were found out in the country so they may have been dumped together.
Stanislaus Animal Services Agency in Modesto, CA plans to ki££ her (& Pebbles) on Wednesday 10/21 at 6:30 a.m.😳 Can anyone save her? 🙏
Coco is thought to be a Queensland heeler mix, 9 yrs old, 69 lbs., already spayed. The shelter volunteers say she is an active, intelligent & confident dog.
Shelter notes: “Social and sweet with people. Easy to leash and walks well on leash. Coexisted well off leash with two young, male and female dogs.”

Chance is a 3 yr old Belgian Malinois, 67 lbs., already neutered.
Described as very sweet, very affectionate & well-mannered in shelter notes. Walks well on a leash and had no negative reactions to other dogs going through kennel.

Thomas Massie responds to media when asked about the latest developments on the Epstein Files: “You know, if this were a private law firm with 5% of the resources of the DOJ, this would have been done by the deadline. And they just missed another deadline, which is the report to Congress, which is supposed to list all the politicians that are in their files, and also they’re supposed to justify all the redactions 15 days after the first 30-day window.
But the biggest problem isn’t that they’re missing the deadlines—it’s what they’re redacting. So they’re citing the Privacy Act and they’re trying to pretend like that overrides a law that we just passed that says you can’t withhold records to prevent embarrassment. They’re also citing FOIA standards which don’t apply to our law when they’re trying to say that they don’t have to release internal decisions, but our bill specifically says release internal decisions.”
The victims will NEVER see justice.
And the saddest part? These perpetrators are still out there raping, trafficking and murdering children.
