i wanted to offer some reflections, and helpful considerations for others who can take this action. thread follows:

i scheduled my appointment to request the renunciation of my israeli citizenship months ago. last week i emailed to confirm it. this morning they canceled it because of a "safety incident" at the consulate. i don't buy it.
i was going to publish my letter anyway, so here it is:

Trucks carrying medical supplies denied entry into the #Gaza by the Israeli authorities on July 3 due to ongoing fighting in the south.
We have been unable to bring any medical supplies since the end of April.
Hospitals continue to grapple with acute shortages of supplies.
