Picking up a PR opportunity, needs doing, but this is rather late in the game.
The Wild West approach to dockless e-bikes cannot continue.
I'm setting out my plan to improve safety and data sharing, tackle poor parking and create consistent standards across London.
TfL licensing is the key to making these schemes safer and better managed.

Bring back Andrew Neil.
Bring back long form political interviews.
Hold these gaslighting fools in government to account.

Nearly a quarter of UK office workers have now taken time off because of noise. That is not fragility. That is a building making people ill.

What has the Mayor of London done from the start of his terms as Mayor to retrofit and befit London for the extremes of climate that he knew were on the way?
Feeling the heat?
This week, London is facing its fifth heatwave of the year.
Our Cool Spaces map shows indoor places where you can cool down and take a break from the heat.

Just checked in on Hyde Park. It looks like a desert with trees. An apocalyptic vision of the future.

'Gonna nationalise water, Andy?'
'I love a pasty.'
'How about the cost of living?'
'Northerner born and bred, me.'
'Palantir?'
'Here's my old teacher!'
'Please deprivatise the NHS.'
'Did you know my dad was a toolmaker?'
Turns out you can never escape your old teachers 🤣
This was a lovely surprise for me, on a very big morning for thousands of young people.
Good luck to everyone getting their A-level, T-level and BTec results today. Whatever it says in those envelopes, you should be proud of the hard work that got you here. And remember, there isn't just one route to success.

As Mayor, Burnham spent £700k on getting asylum seekers in Manchester benefits.
If people know they can stay & claim benefits, they’ll keep coming.
Brits are tired of being taxed for endless benefits. @Conservatives would stop benefits for foreign nationals and save £7bn.
Fake news.
The simple pleasure of standing up drinking a pint – aka ‘vertical drinking’ – is at risk from the most killjoy council in Britain:

Stand down, Ed, @andyburnham has already dealt with it He's asking shops 'not to sell disposable barbecues' 🤦♀️
And he won't even call it a 'climate crisis'
Thr message *he's* sending us is he cares more about corporate profits than wellbeing of UK citizens
Vote Green 💚
Now let's have a five-fold increase in walking networks, free up pavements for people, make them wider.
Since 2016, we've delivered a fivefold increase in London's network of Cycleways.
This has been thanks to:
💚bold political leadership from @MayorofLondon & borough leaders
👷world class technical expertise in @tfl and boroughs
👨👩👦👦campaigning communities calling for change
The more power the Mayor's get, the less local communities have. Mayor Khan is a great example of power being taken from local people, destroying what little balance was left between people's health interests and commercial profit-making.
More breathing space? Stop the privatisation of the NHS - that would be a breathing space. Renationalising water companies, saving the UK environment, agriculture, canal network for rural economies? Storage batteries for social housing renters? Real, solid, cost of living changes
Indeed! What is the point of Burnham?
I’m getting that sinking feeling now, the problem is that if @andyburnham is not going to take the climate emergency & impending food shortages seriously, then what is he actually for? Is he there for business as usual or to keep us alive & let’s be honest, it’s not looking good!

The situation in London is much more dangerous for pedestrians now.
A significant proportion of cyclists
ignore ALL red lights,
cycle fast through pedestrian precincts,
down one-way streets the wrong way
on pavements, sometimes at high speeds
without lights in darkness
So what is Burnham doing to stop it?
"Andy Burnham brands Thames Water finance boss's £1m 'golden hello' signing-on bonus as 'unacceptable'."
It's not only unacceptable it's corrupt.

Visited City Hall to see if @SadiqKhan wanted to apologise to @CityWestminster officers and @guardian for deliberately lying about Licensing policy to scare Londoners. Lord Khan is on holiday …..
