Our hard working street cleaning team removed a staggering 11 tonnes of waste from our beach on Thursday. It's heartbreaking to think so many people who love to use our beach don't care how filthy they leave it. They should be ashamed. More at ow.ly/FvnV50AiWXx

We can’t just build bigger bins - we have to be smarter than that. ‘Litter’ just ends up landfilled or burnt. #circulareconomy #ZeroWaste #PlasticPollution #BreakFreeFromPlastic

📅Two years ago the council signed up to a single use plastic pledge. 🗑️Yet our beaches are still strewn with litter. We're calling for immediate action and ‘polluter pays,’ approach to address surge in litter and overflowing bins on beach ⬇️ brightonhovegreens.org/2020/…

#MondayMotivation Public consciousness of ocean-wrecking plastic pollution was steadily increasing, but when the voice of nature - Sir David Attenborough - highlighted its devastating impacts in #BluePlanetII awareness soared. Congrats Sir David - #PlasticFreeAwards winner. 👏
