The DGMO talking of Virat’s retirement in the middle of Op Sindoor presser shows how unimportant Pakistan is at this point.
To have your instructor from your cadet days back for one last sortie in the cockpit - always knew the Chief would go with a bang, but WOW this was spectacular.
Thank you sir for your service!

A FULL CIRCLE. A SALUTE TO THE LEGACY.
Today, Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, undertakes his last sortie in the Indian Air Force, alongside his first flying instructor, Wg Cdr V S Kochar (Retd), in the same HJT-16 Kiran aircraft in which his flying journey began on 28 January 1984.
At Air Force Academy, Dundigal, the years come full circle in a moment that celebrates a lifetime of service, an enduring passion for flying and the timeless bond between a pilot and his instructor. It is also a heartfelt tribute to the veterans and mentors who have shaped generations of air warriors and continue to inspire those who follow.
From the first lesson to the final sortie in uniform, a legacy takes flight.

We have very deranged people in this world. Sick and twisted people. The world is praising #SmitMachchhar but these people are ready to spread hate and violence.
Dawg at least try to pretend you aren’t disappointed with the foiled crash plan. Try.

Blood boils. Every hr of delay risks another victim n lets predators destroy more lives. Fast arrests n zero tolerance. @bihar_police listening? Unmask these molestors, drag them out n make samples out of them. Hang them high n fast so every predator knows the price.

Why must a soldier disappear from public life after retirement? Civil servants write books, politicians run channels and bureaucrats become influencers. Major Rishabh Singh Sambyal has every right to build a second career. The uniform deserves respect. And he has not disrespected Army or the uniform he once wore in any way!
So apparently an IPS was accepting bribes worth crores to let go of the mastermind of the fake cancer medicine racket. Remember this tweet - he’ll retire as a 3 star Director General in his state cadre. Such is our system. Kuch nahi ukhaad paoge.

I would rather have a retired soldier be a face of reels than the likes of Dhruv Shitty or Faye chooza.

"Papa, I am hit in the abdomen. Take care of Ashar."
These were the final words of a 32-year-old father, a son, and a brilliant tactical commander.
Three years ago today, on September 13, 2023, the nation lost Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Humayun Muzammil Bhat in the treacherous heights of the Garol forest in Kokernag, Anantnag.
He didn’t just wear the uniform; he inherited it.
The son of retired Inspector General Ghulam Hassan Bhat, Humayun grew up watching his father fight militancy in the valley. Despite clearing state service exams and initially working as a social welfare officer, his true calling pulled him to the J&K Police in 2018. Known among his peers for his tactical acumen and obsession with modern combat gear, he was a leader who never led from the rear.
During a joint operation targeting Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists hiding in a high-altitude natural cave, DySP Bhat, alongside 19 RR Commanding Officer Col. Manpreet Singh and Major Ashish Dhonchak, spearheaded the assault. Pushing through rugged terrain, the assault team came under heavy, anticipated fire from the fortified position.
Leading from the front, all three officers took fatal hits while attempting to neutralize the threat.
Even with a fatal gunshot wound, Humayun kept his composure. He managed a brief 13-second call to his veteran father and a final goodbye to his wife, Fatimah, leaving behind their one-month-old son, Ashar.
For his rare courage and complete disregard for personal safety in the face of heavy enemy fire, DySP Humayun Bhat was posthumously awarded the Kirti Chakra, India’s second-highest peacetime gallantry award.
Today, as his son grows up seeing his father’s portrait and his wife builds her life as an Assistant Professor, we remember a frontline warrior who gave everything for the soil of Kashmir.
The Jammu & Kashmir Police is not just a force; it is a brotherhood of unmatched sacrifice.
Salute to the Braveheart. 🇮🇳

#Dhurandhar & #Hanuman_Ansh, loved them both
Why?
Then I realised something strange
They seem to be telling completely different stories
But perhaps, underneath, they are asking the same question
What does it take for a civilisation to find itself again?

Maybe, In his personal capacity, as a class 1 gazetted officer. And the CM may hv granted the privilege. I suggest you could check the actual reasons from the CMs staff.

I’ve seen this ad a common practice in police, bureaucracy and even corporate. Whenever anyone senior comes, they occupy the chair behind the table. Or whichever is the ‘highest’ chair in the room.
However in Army, the chair comes with appointment and respect. Even if the Chief comes to a unit, he will NEVER sit in unit’s commanding officer’s chair.
A junior officer, an adjutant may not be present in his office or on leave. But no one, however senior in unit or otherwise, can come and sit in his chair unless he’s the officiating adjutant. Even then, some might place a chair next to the Adjutant’s chair and officiate from there.
The chair isn’t just a piece of furniture. It commands respect, authority and appointment. Let’s grant it its due.

Here's the FPV of the daring rescue by the Avn elements of @firefurycorps !⚡️
No words, shocked that the aircraft was able to even take off with the pilots given that both were having balls of steel...🫡
If any Western Army had pulled something like this off for a casevac in a vintage helicopter manufactured in the 60s, their entire state machinery would’ve gone bonkers praising their own & would’ve called it the sortie of the century. Most folks don’t fully realise that the probability of not coming back from such a flight for the pilots is more than a safe return. Next time in an airshow near you, try if you can get a glimpse of the Cheetah’s cockpit. A Maruti Swift dashboard has more components on it.
And yet, our warriors go on and on. Probably landed back, made a good night call home & went to sleep, woke up today for business as usual. Probably both pilots in their late twenties or thirties. Unreal commitment to duty & professionalism. Indian Army for you.
Please do read. Sacrifice of our aviators, most of the time fully aware that it’s a one way journey.
Indebted to your family’s sacrifice ma’am. 🙏🏻
