#usingDataToDriveAction has evolved: #UsingDataToDriveOutcomes
Not bad for a volunteer workgroup and the newest unit of @CHHSAgency. I think this #GovTech thing is more than a passing fad. – at Sacramento, CA

Is someone afraid I'm trying to leave? 😂 It seems likely that I waited too long and stuff has just broken down so badly the parts are falling off the plane.

Feeling sick? It could be COVID-19 or the flu. Stay home and away from others, take a COVID-19 test, and call your doctor if you feel any symptoms like fever, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, new loss of taste or smell, or sore throat.

President @JoeBiden is prepared to sign legislation that will put into law the protections of Roe v. Wade. If you think the government should not have a say in the decisions women make about their bodies, make your voices heard on Election Day.
What are our ethical obligations to ourselves, our team, our employer, our profession, or the public? Who decides? How do those obligations change based on the role we play?

Most revealing comment today was question by Ukrainian TV journalist. He started his question thanking the US saying his family wouldn’t be alive without US support. That’s how many Ukrainians feel. That without American support their lives would be over, war crimes their fate.
Sadly, @AppleNews+ seems to have reached its apex. In 2020.
What happened and why do big tech companies create and abandon or neglect products they promise will “change the way we…”?

Every once in a while, Netflix manages to “surprise and delight” and educate. This is a powerful and entertaining documentary.

Hey America… nice democracy you have there…
It sure would be a shame if you failed to vote next Tuesday, and someone took away your rights and stuff, and even worse things happen.

Two services, two modern wi-fi routers: the difference?
@Xfinity: $120/month
@tmobile: $60
See for yourself. I had to get T-Mobile so I could do all the video conferences that Xfinity simply cannot handle, thanks to their 2010 up speed: 17mbps.

Sad to say, but the latest climate news all seems to point to “adaptation” as the only strategy left.
I expect we’ll see news of real estate speculation in Alaska and Canada’s north real soon; apparently Montana is already sold out. Expect “wars of migration” next.

Please get vaccinated. The life you save might be yours. You might also save the life of those who cannot, for medical reasons, get this vaccine. I got my bivalent booster shot last week; totally worth a 2d arm ache!

#GovTech Rant: A CalHR Occupation Class (e.g. IT Specialist 1) is NOT a position TITLE. Even worse when used for mgmt positions.
Result: People who might fit, don’t apply. Others apply for the salary, even if not a good fit.
This is bad for everyone.
