Thank you JLC for working with @JamiPeople to enable us to bring together our colleagues from the VCSE sector, people with lived experience and MPs. It was an honour to co-chair with @LizTwistMP and an inspiring culmination of #WorldSuicidePreventionDay 2023.
Together with @JamiPeople & @LizTwistMP, yesterday we brought together practitioners, politicians and a variety of wider voluntary sector organisations to discuss suicide prevention at a roundtable meeting at @JamiPeople's @headroomcafe.

Thanks for all your work on this. Organisations in the VCSE sector are looking forward to the delivery of the strategy.
PM @RishiSunak answering q about #SuicidePrevention at #PMQs. Important moment, given the history of shame & secrecy surrounding suicide. Later this year? I read the near-final draft today.

🧡// Jami led an interactive training session on suicide prevention at @NNLS_Masorti for a wonderful group of Masorti and Reform Clergy. Once again we are humbled to learn of the incredible work our Rabbis and colleagues do to support our community’s mental health.

Looking forward to a fundamental change in the way we view suicide prevention.
Recognition of extraordinary campaign by ⁦⁦@philippirie⁩ to end use of tickbox assessments of suicide risk, after death of his son Tom. Outstanding example of what can be achieved by combining research evidence & personal story. thetimes.co.uk/article/c0176…

As Prof Appleby always says these new figures represent real lives lost. Let's hope our learning can help save lives. #SuicidePrevention
New suicide figures from @ONS covering deaths registered in July-Sep 2022. Means we now have figs for first 9m of the year & a good idea of what 2022 as a whole will show. Short 🧵 & TW.
Replying to @LucBernard
And that's not taking into consideration the Jews who left Poland between the world wars to escape the pogroms, like my grandparents. So, that's 2 more to add to the statistics.

Here, here. And we slip into it so easily
Always remember, when you compliment weight loss, you could be complimenting: -an eating disorder - grief - depression - chronic illnesses - cancer Instead simply ask..... How are you doing? Please do not comment on the body.
