I once didn't hire someone called Caroline, who was probably the most qualified and seemed like a good fit for the team, because my boss kept singing her name "Caroli-i-i-i-i-i-ine" like the Fleetwood Mac song and he was getting on my tits. I hope you found a better employer.

As mask mandate is lifted today in healthcare settings we have forgotten the people who don't have protection from vaccination and due to their illness they need to access safe healthcare.
Every section of society have now abandoned them.

Many are turning the page on COVID-19 & returning to pre-pandemic life, but the story is different for immunocompromised (IC) people who aren’t protected by COVID-19 vaccination. It's vital that we prioritise the burden facing the IC community: spr.ly/6011OOjBh
Really easy to identify "periods of high levels of community transmission" when we've closed testing centres and advised testing no longer required for majority of people. This is regressive. This is ableist. This will cause untold suffering and countless preventable deaths.
The universal use of facemasks in hospitals and other healthcare settings, to curb the spread of Covid-19, is to be relaxed from later this month rte.ie/news/2023/0407/137576…

It's quite something that the world's top scientists put out a synthesis report that essentially says civilization as we know it will end unless the world comes together to stop rapidly expanding the fossil fuel industry but to instead rapidly end it, and almost no one cares

Can confirm. Just yesterday, my teammate wrote a custom JSON parser that would have been a slog for 1-2 days within hours using GPT4. GPT4 is like giving each engineer their own intern who does 70-80% of the job. The remaining 30% is constraints & biz logic. Startups are going to be insanely efficient w/ hiring & execution!

For the last 9 months, The Guardian analyzed projects from the biggest carbon offset provider in the world.
They found "94% of the credits had no benefit to the climate."
Some of the biggest corporations in the world are using these offsets to claim they are "carbon neutral."

This year y’all are saying masks caused immunity debt & last year you said mask didn’t work to protect against diseases…PICK A SIDE.
Let me tell you what likely happened, the COVID you allowed to run rampant by refusing masks impaired people’s immune system. Children included.

1/20 Dear friends, I need to draw your attention to something super bad and super important (and it doesn’t originate from Russia for once). Last week the EU has taken a shockingly stupid and damaging decision to close down national corporate registers of beneficial owners 🧵🧵🧵

This should be the response to every commentator, Journalist & MP who've become far too comfortable throwing the Term 'Woke' into every one of their dog whistle opinions

To me, whilst CBT is extremely valuable, it does feel like it has become another manifestation of individualism and passivism within capitalism. Liberation psychology feels like a much better tool to truly tackle the collective woes of society. theguardian.com/commentisfre…
