Interesting extension of our 1993 GTVH study on joke similarity using working comedians (vs. students as in the Ruch/Attardo/Raskin study. Indeed, stand-up comedians seem to develop an increased sensitivity to joke synonymy, which prevents "joke thefts." degruyter.com/document/doi/1…
