Listening to Hasina speak at an event held in DC a few things become clear:
The Indian government continues to allow Hasina to abuse her asylum to actively undermine Bangladesh’s elected government. This demonstrates that the Modi regime is not serious about a reset in its relationship with Bangladesh.
Hasina’s claim to uphold democratic values is laughable to anyone who has the slightest knowledge of Bangladesh’s history. She and her supporters continue to promote an alternate reality in which they pretend to be the guardians of freedom.
The Awami League continues its well funded effort to disseminate its disinformation about the events of July 2024. They believe that repeating a lie often enough will eventually make it true.
It is unlikely that these efforts will succeed in influencing US policy given the ease with which Hasina’s lies can be disproven. At the same time, they may be useful in preventing members of the AL cult from breaking away from her grip.

Mamdani and Abdul have exposed a level of racism and bigotry within the Democratic Party that I never thought I would see. You have people who claim to be Democrats joining MAGA in spreading racist attacks against Abdul. Sometimes, you can barely tell the difference between their tweets. It’s truly sickening.

Work quietly. Don’t let the noise around you drown out the purpose within you.
Work within your capacity. Don’t let what’s outside your control consume you.
Work sincerely. Don’t let the approval of people become your obsession.

As a Christian woman of faith, I pray every day, too. We follow different faiths, but I believe we pray to the one and only merciful God for peace, justice, and our children’s future.
My children are Muslim, and your grandparents are Protestant. Our families are living examples of the melting pot we call America. There is so much love and humanity that connects us. ❤️

As a man of faith, I pray every day.
Faith is a thing there’s just too little of in Washington.

Bangladesh PM Tarique made the right call in asking for the resignation of Ishraque Hossain after his insane stunt. This is the latest sign that Tarique is serious about holding member of his government accountable for their actions. His leadership is critical in ensuring Bangladesh’s future is different than its past.

Three Facts:
•Tommy wasn't a voter. He was a Christian Nationalist plant by Josh Hawley.
•Tommy isn't worried religious law superseding our Constitution. He admitted he's trying to enact Christian Shariah above the Constitution.
•Zero corporate media outlets will report on how the Muslim Senate Candidate is running to uphold the Constitution, and the Christian sitting Senator is governing to enforce Christian Shariah.
They're not afraid of losing our Constitution. They're afraid of competition.

Truly disgusting what the Republican Party and parts of our media have normalized on this country. Just open naked racism and bigotry and mockery of minorities. Can you imagine a Muhammad or Abdullah in the schoolground getting bullied by kids who heard the president do it first?

The internet has made people way too comfortable having strong opinions about things they know absolutely nothing about 😭
People don’t know how to sit with their jealousy or insecurity, so they intellectualise them, moralise them and weaponise them against the subject of their feelings. It’s easier to moralise envy or inadequacy than confront it because doing so absolves you of the responsibility to look inward and casts the other person as the problem. It’s a cheap way to escape personal responsibility but at the end of the day you still have to live with yourself and you can’t run from what’s happening inside you by making someone else the villain.
