Vibe code idea: Temporal You Feed it journal pages, your entire photo album, anything w/ a date stamp, builds into temporal 2nd brain with time states. Then AI reconstructs you, the way you look, the way you think, fills in blanks, for your life. Maybe guesses future you too?

AI as a utility is inevitable. As a dev I barely feel the need to upgrade from GPT 5.4/Opus 4.6, & Kimi K2.6 is stronger than most people will need, for 1/10th the cost. Soon every model will be "good enough" - and then we'll all need it. @ATT bundle AI with your plans?

Kimi 2.5 for coding is *nuts*. 20% per-token pricing relative to comp models, ~50% faster, and similar coding ability to Claude CLI. It autoREPLs, w tailing logs + watching live dev outputs while coding, without me having to ask it to. Easily best vibe coding cli right now.

I’ve tried out Arovia’s Splay, super vibrant second monitor to work from, and it’s great for watching Netflix on the go
The world's largest consumer tech event, CES 2025, kicks off this week. While we wait, here the top 10 reveals from last year’s CES: 1. Arovia's "SPLAY" is a Mix of a Projector and a Foldable Screen
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
CES 2025 didn't kicked off this week, it was on Jan 7-10th ces.tech/press-releases…

HARD00 67/90 Marketing is hard! We’ve been through a bunch of iterations on lostlabs.co and still aren’t happy with how we are describing Solo. What do you think when you visit our website? Does it effectively communicate and sell you on our product?

Congrats @coffeewithjer and the whole DB team!
HARD90 58+59/90: Not actually a hardware update—I spent this weekend competing at the legendary Stanley dragonboat races in Hong Kong! Despite the high winds, I’m proud to say our little team took fourth out of 120 teams! Back at the grind tomorrow

I’m building. I’m selling. I’m doubling. Then doing it again. Simple as that.

Otherwise, I build. I ship. I grow. So no, I’m not waiting. Not for a cofounder. Not for YC. Not for permission.

HARD90 53/90: This might be the first time a factory owner gets to see themselves in a YouTube vlog about the sourcing process as we are some of the first people to vlog this openly about it.

HARD90 51/90: FASTER HARDWARE by slowing down Imagine if every time you hit "compile", it could take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to figure out if your code worked depending on how you wrote it. You'd want to be pretty sure that it worked as planned every time. This is the silent killer of hardware projects--work your butt off on a design and send it off to a vendor, only to find you forgot to specify the correct thread on one of your holes so now nothing assembles. I can already hear the keyboard jockeys asking, why not just 3d print everything? Then you can get a much faster cycle time! The problem is that 3d printing has a limited resolution and durability, so when you're later in the process and are working with production materials and processes it doesn't give you a good read. Ironically, going "slower" by taking the extra day to get peer review on each release actually produces a faster overall design process because it reduces the risk of a wasted build. When it takes days to weeks every time you release your design (or hit compile in the software analogy), the overall schedule is shortest when you do the fewest releases. Going slow can be the fastest way.

Cartoon villain ts Literally comically myopic that they think this sinks Drift. It’s more lore and fuel to his story
