Equal Pay Act (1970): Prohibited less favorable treatment regarding pay and conditions between men and women doing the same or similar work. Sex Discrimination Act (1975): Made discrimination based on sex or marital status illegal in employment, education, and training. Human Rights Act (1998): Brought the rights contained in the European Convention on Human Rights directly into UK domestic law, allowing individuals to pursue human rights claims in British courts.
