Long term bear markets are common. Equally common is investors exiting at the point of maximum pain. The excess liquidity the Finance Minister referred to is largely driven by huge SIP inflows every month. This cannot be taken for granted. Investors are more emotional than rational. Seeing negative or zero returns for long can create an impulse to stop monthly SIP commitments. Huge lump sum purchases happen in bull markets. Huge lump sum redemptions happen in bear markets. I hope frustrated investors do not take the next two steps of stopping their SIPs and redeeming or selling at a loss. It would not be surprising if that happens. This pattern gets repeated every cycle, and that is why only a few investors create meaningful wealth from markets.

Who can know in advance? That's why equities are considered as risky asset.

That's why investing is tough. Tomorrow is always unknown.

But sir, how can one get confidence as it continues to go down and uncertain on its recovery.

SIP is a mechanism to keep investing regularly, regardless of market cycles. That’s the rational thing to do.

i surely agree with you. what do you say about stopping the sip and starting it when market rebounds? any meaningful gains compared to continued sip

Warren Buffett: "I don't want to play in a game where I think the other guys have got an advantage over me. I could spend all my time thinking about technology for the next year and I wouldn't be the 100th or the 1,000th or the 10,000th smartest guy in the country in looking at those businesses. That is a seven- or eight-foot bar that I can't clear. There are people who can clear it, but I can't clear it. And no matter how [much] I train, I can't clear it." (Berkshire Hathaway AGM || 1998)

You cannot do it all. Walk 10,000 steps. Sleep 8 hours. Cook three meals. Keep your house clean. Take care of your family. Pursue your hobbies. Excel at your job. Every. Single. Day. That's not how real life works. That's a checklist designed to make you feel miserable. Like you're failing at everything. Truth is... some days, you'll eat healthy. Other days, you'll order takeout. Some days, you'll crush your work. Other days, you'll barely get through it. And that's okay. You can't optimize every part of your life. You're human, not a fucking machine. Do what you can. Let some things slide. Try again tomorrow. You don't need to do everything right to have a good life. It's okay to be imperfect.

Gelişim, uygulamayı günlük alışkanlık haline getirdiğiniz an başlıyor. Bugün sadece 5 cümle yazın. Yarın 2 dakika kendi kendinize sesli konuşun. Mesele bilgi biriktirmek değil, uygulama kasını çalıştırmak.

Elon Musk just threw out IQ scores, degrees, and fancy vocabulary in one sentence. His definition of intelligence is brutal and simple: how accurately can you predict what happens next? Not how fast you read. Not how many books you’ve finished. Not how well you debate. Just — were you right about the future? Think about it. A chess grandmaster sees 20 moves ahead. A great investor sees where markets go before they get there. A great engineer sees failure points before they fail. They’re not “smart” because of how they performed in school. They’re smart because reality keeps confirming their predictions. And the same applies to AI. Elon doesn’t care how fluently a model writes or how impressive it sounds. He wants to know: does it get the future right? By that metric, most of what we call intelligence is just confidence wearing a costume.
