Echoes of Blair here? - ‘I believe we're at our best when at our boldest. So far, we've made a good start but we've not been bold enough.’ Party Conference 2002.

Enjoyed speaking to @MattChorley on BBC R5 Live - answering a question from actor Alex Macqueen about the Prime Minister's office in No.10 Downing Street. As you do.
Great piece with fascinating historical context to a very modern issue

Congratulations to @MichaelBarber9 elevated to the peerage for his work on government delivery. I’m sure his contribution to @SomersetCCC played a part and his outstanding interview with @somersetpodcast will have clinched it!
In 1969 faced by potential plotters Harold Wilson dealt with the rumours with humour. ‘For the benefit of those who have allowed themselves to be carried away by the gossip of the past few days, I know what is going on. I am going on. Your government is going on.’
