At 3PM on both days, we will pause for 72 seconds of silence in honour of those who lost their lives in the Grenfell fire 💚, and in memory of Kelso Cochrane 💛
We ask all attendees to join us, stand with the community, and help us pay our respects.

"Kelso Cochrane was an Antiguan carpenter, who was stabbed to death in a racially motivated attack by white youths on Southam Street, in Notting Hill, in May 1959.
His brutal murder contributed to establishment of Notting Hill Carnival"

Lmao. It was never nuclear families that got some of the first Black folks who moved here up and on the ladder. It was communal fund raising.
My paternal grandparents were married and lived in a communal house when they came here.
This isn’t obroni culture!

Time to be doing susu/pardna. Because multigenerational households are common for others.
Trying to copy the media concept of the nuclear family when you come from cultures where people live in family compounds makes no sense.
