It derives from the Jamaican words rahtid and (sometimes) rarse. It’s a versatile Jamaican Patois Exclamation that means "wow," "damn," or "oh my god".
And in some regions like the Midlands it also means “really”.
It’s British Jamaican culture.

We proposed the solution to this in the PA/AA scope document.
Ensure that resident doctors/ med students have ‘first right of refusal’ for every training opportunity.
We can’t afford to produce underskilled consultants and GPs. Patients deserve better
.@DHSCgovuk are decimating medical training in the UK.
The Royal Colleges need to step in to protect the training of our future specialist doctors.

I have maintained my HCPC registration ever since I started medicine, as I am proud to have been an ODP, which is where I first started in healthcare. I still do 4 shifts a year for CPD. Look at these rates, then ask yourself why resident drs went on strike earning only £19p/hr!

As a Black woman who grew up in a southern beach town in Florida with mainly white friends(mostly due to proximity), who went on a “boat day” with said friends who waited until I got dared to jump off the boat to drive back to shore and then all looked like shocked Pikachu when I swam back to shore and collectively went “Oh we didn’t know you could swim”; what happened to that sweet boy was not his fault, or his parents’. The fault lays with whoever hurt that baby and left him there.
