🎉 Excited to share the first preprint from the Panday Lab!

We identify FANCM as an adaptive genome-maintenance dependency in BRCA1-deficient breast cancer and uncover its role in restraining ongoing structural genome evolution.
Together, our results position FANCM at the intersection of replication-stress tolerance, structural genome evolution, and synthetic-lethal vulnerability in BRCA1-deficient breast cancer.

I am absolutely thrilled to share that I’ll be joining @MayoClinic Rochester as an Assistant professor to run my own lab. I feel lucky to join the Dept. of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and @MayoCancerCare .Panday Lab will open in September 2023 and is hiring at all levels!
My lab will work on genome integrity, synthetic lethality, chromatin dynamics associated with replication stress, and their role in carcinogenesis and cancer therapy using cutting-edge methodologies.
Can’t wait to start doing science alongside Drs. Zhenkun Lou, Scott Kaufmann, Fergus Couch, Georges Mer, Matthew Schellenberg, @mpgoetz, @VRodriguezBravo, @DomingoDomenech, @gasparma1a and many others under the leadership of @JWestendorfPhD in the BMB dept. and @MayoCancerCar
