Bangladeshi at Artificial beach: “More coming, 🇲🇻 has more people than jobs.” Observes it crowded. No locals. Exactly what Maldivians say yet some call it xenophobia. Youth unemployed, locals jobless while every public space filled with expats. Why are they still flooding in?

if residency comes know that these atolls no longer belong to Maldives. You may be slaves for few years before violence happens! @MoEDmv @em_saeed #EagleHillsOut #NoToPearlResidency #NoTOResidency #SaveNoonu #Savekaafu #SaveThaa @AhmedMuizzu @MMuizzu @hsn_hameed @DhivehiOne

Youth apathy stems from decades of systemic failure and decay. When things as simple as employment demands affiliation with political parties in power, caring for change feels pointless. Let their voices be truly heard and they will engage.

Saars, we’re planning to gather 200–300 people to vandalize the Maldives High Commission over losses from exchange rates on remittances. Maldivians face the same issue but unlike them, we resort to violence when we don’t get our way, as in 2020, when we kidnapped several locals🥰
If that was six years ago, just imagine where we are now.. How much longer are we going to put this off ? @min_mohst @ImmigrationMV @MMuizzu !

What did BanglaBros achieve by coming to the Maldives? Unpaid salaries, cursing Maldives, unemployment according to the comments & yet in the same comment section, people are aiming to come to Maldives. If the situation is bad why are exporting themselved here?

Devaragattu's Banni Utsav (or Dasara festival) is an annual post-Dussehra ritual at the Mala Malleswara Swamy temple where rival groups from multiple villages clash with bamboo sticks and torches to seize deity idols, based on legends of demons and divine battles. In the 2026 event on October 21-22, one man (age 28 from Alur) died and over 100 were injured, including some critically, despite heavy police deployment and a temporary medical camp.

Entire restaurants staffed by expats. Not a single Maldivian. SME quota-fee exemptions are being abused by expat owned businesses to bring in more under the guise of employment, while Malé becomes increasingly congested and Maldivians risk being sidelined in their own country.

Our resorts too! Maldivian resort employment fell from 47% in 2019 to just 42% in 2020, below the mandatory 45% local quota. Census data later shows locals made up only 38.5% of the wider tourism workforce in 2022. Where is the enforcement? Audit resorts. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
We need mandatory local hiring laws NOW! Extend the job vacancy period from 7 days to 3 months, giving Maldivians a fair chance. 7 days is a joke. Stop exploiting loopholes. Protect Maldivian jobs. Maldivians must come first in their own homeland. 🇲🇻

This is what the degradation of the family unit has done. Countless middle aged people who are single and can’t find a date, forever alone, grasping at straws to find someone interested. Perhaps they should’ve been less selfish and worked to keep their marriages intact.
My sister in law sent me this yesterday. Honestly wth is wrong with some people

Bangla Influencer bros are walking in the middle of the street for their videos, that too on rainny days.

You should spend more on your airports.
This airport was built for literally a fraction of the cost of JFK airport transformation project. $600 million vs $19 billion. Where is the extra money for transforming the US airport going? Money laundering?

First video: “I feel like I’m in Bangladesh.” Now again 3 days ago, zooming in on our national flag and emblem, captioned “Maldives ❌ Bangladesh ✅.” Claiming this is Bangladesh. Thats a message. Openly claiming our country now, they crave to see the flag changed .
Bangla bros are not hiding it anymore. Bro openly says “it doesn’t feel like the Maldives, this is Bangladesh”💀 What Maldivians have been observing is being openly echoed by Bangla bro themselves. Let that sink in. Are we watching our own country become someone elses country?

Bangla bro comes here and says, 'feels like I'm BACK in Bangladesh'. Bro is shocked at their own numbers but maldivian virtue signallers getting offended when we say it. Xenophobia 101 says u should never point out any social problems instead always keep ur head in your ass see

Took a quick 10 minute walk break from work and 99% of the people I saw were Bangladeshi. Felt like I took a mini trip across the world 🇧🇩 on my short break!
