Pure evil:
New Canadian Pandemic Act has the potential to infringe on civil liberties, violate individuals' health privacy, grant broad powers to the Minister of Health, and much more. Bill C-293, the Pandemic Prevention and Preparedness Act, which has passed its first reading before the Senate, aims to establish robust measures to mitigate future pandemics. However, a closer look reveals several concerns related to government overreach, health privacy, possible violations of civil liberties, and unclear priorities. One of the primary issues is the bill’s establishment and interlinking of surveillance systems for infectious diseases, both domestically and internationally. The extensive data collection proposed—especially with international linkages involving organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE)—raises significant privacy concerns. This could lead to widespread monitoring of citizens’ health data, potentially without their explicit consent. The legislation also mandates collaboration between the federal government, provincial governments, and Indigenous communities to collect and share health data. This requirement may create data privacy, security, and misuse concerns. Another troubling aspect is the bill's broad discretion granted to the Minister of Health and other relevant officials. They are empowered to set pandemic preparedness standards and make far-reaching decisions about public health responses, surveillance, and commercial regulations. The absence of thorough oversight or parliamentary approval for such decisions raises concerns about transparency and accountability, potentially allowing political interests to take precedence over public welfare. Furthermore, the bill compels the Minister of Health and other officials to "leverage international expertise" by adopting internationally developed pandemic prevention metrics. This could result in Canada aligning with global standards that don’t necessarily reflect its domestic needs, limiting the country’s ability to make independent public health decisions. In terms of economic impact, the bill targets commercial activities that "disproportionately contribute to pandemic risk," such as industrial animal agriculture. However, the lack of clarity around what constitutes "disproportionate" could lead to arbitrary decisions, harming industries without solid scientific evidence. This vagueness could spark significant economic disruptions and legal disputes over the scope of such regulations. The bill’s emphasis on the One Health approach—integrating human, animal, plant, and ecosystem health—may also be problematic. While holistic health is important, this broad approach could lead to sweeping environmental regulations under the guise of pandemic prevention, potentially affecting sectors like farming, forestry, and urban development without clear justifications related to pandemics. Lastly, the bill allocates substantial resources to global health equity initiatives, raising concerns that domestic resources could be diverted to international efforts. In summary, while Bill C-293 seeks to enhance pandemic preparedness, its broad language, expanded surveillance powers, and potential for economic disruption pose significant risks. The bill’s lack of transparency and vague definitions could lead to actions that undermine civil liberties, disrupt key industries, and prioritize global interests over Canada's own. I spent 30 years in the mainstream media, including in radio, TV, newspapers, and magazines, I’m embarrassed by CTV national talking about Mark Carney, going to Turkey “to diversify our trade” away from the United States. Do you think Turkey will buy 1.5 million Ontario-made vehicles the USA currently buys annually? What a joke. Whatever happened to good journalism in this country?

AIPAC has announced that it "will no longer make candidate endorsements, give directly to PACs, or earmark contributions to candidates." Pro tip: If AIPAC says its no longer paying politicians, it's DOUBLING DOWN on paying politicians. They've just found a more covert way to funnel the cash.

A 29-year-old woman was killed this week by a homeless Somalian in the Netherlands. She texted her family: 'Help me. Now. He is killing me', so the family contacted the police. The police decided that it wasn't urgent and waited 24 hours to investigate. She was found in a suitcase over ten days later and it took 2 weeks to arrest the man she was last seen with, of whom the police refused to release footage. Meanwhile, the Dutch Public Prosecution Service is using police manpower to investigate and prosecute a gossip-vlogger for calling women fat, 'because verbal aggression contributes to a culture of violence against women'. My boyfriend is being prosecuted for privately e-mailing nude portraits to a bimbo-artist who poses nude publicly for her art regularly. Obviously, something has gone completely wrong. What are the police for? How can you really stop violence against women? How should you really divide your energy and resources to protect people's lives?

A councillor didn't like being mocked on Facebook. The council suggested he call the police on a 15-year-old. And they came. Four of them. Canada, watch closely. This is where "online harms" laws lead.
🚨 A 15-year-old boy was woken by four West Midlands Police officers banging on his door. Fraser, a schoolboy and Reform UK activist, was arrested in front of his neighbours, bundled into a police car and held overnight in a cell. His mugshot and DNA were taken; even his shoes were confiscated. While he was in the cell, officers searched his bedroom at home. His “crime”? Criticising a Conservative councillor for wearing shorts and a T-shirt to a council meeting, then joking on social media that the councillor “was not looking like a rent boy” when he wore a suit. Fraser also posted an altered photograph of the councillor wearing bunny ears. In what self-respecting democracy should a child be arrested for criticising an elected politician? The Free Speech Union is supporting Fraser and has taken on his case. His lawyers received an email from West Midlands Police stating that “it is alleged that your client’s comments could be considered a hate crime offence”. Months later, Fraser is still waiting to learn whether he will be charged. Speaking to the New York Post, FSU Director of Legislative Affairs Sam Armstrong said: “Broadly speaking, several thousand people a year are being arrested for… ‘offensive speech’ in the UK.” Since 2020, the FSU has handled more than 7,000 cases involving people whose free speech has been infringed and who have been punished for exercising it. More than 60,000 people have also been arrested for communications offences in the UK. The First Amendment protects US citizens’ right to free speech. As Sam told the New York Post, it is the “global gold standard”. Read more below 👇

📣I CONTACTED COSTCO AND SUNRISE FARMS. HERE'S WHAT I FOUND.📣 A Costco meat manager confirmed to me that Kirkland-branded chicken, beef, and lamb are halal-certified. Organic chicken is not. I was told this has been the practice for YEARS. The beef is certified, but if opened and cut in store it is "no longer Halal". I also contacted Sunrise Farms, which confirmed that they are halal-certified. However, when I asked whether they stun animals BEFORE slaughter, I was transferred and received no answer. Lilydale is now owned by Sofina Foods, but I was unable to reach anyone there by phone. SO WHAT DOES HALAL SLAUGHTER MEAN? Halal slaughter requires a prescribed religious method, including a throat incision and a prayer or invocation. The use of stunning depends on the halal certification requirements: some halal standards permit reversible stunning before the cut; others do not. In conventional slaughter, animals are generally stunned before the cut to render them unconscious. The important question is whether halal-certified meat is produced using pre-slaughter stunning or without it. WHAT DOES CANADIAN LAW SAY? Under Canada's federal slaughter regulations, religious slaughter may be conducted without prior stunning under specified conditions. The rules require the animal to be unconscious before it is suspended and dead before dressing procedures begin. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) regulates slaughter practices, but halal certification alone does not tell consumers whether an animal was stunned before its throat was cut. MY QUESTION IS SIMPLE: If consumers are buying halal-certified meat without realizing it, shouldn't they be able to find out exactly how the animals were slaughtered? I contacted these companies to get answers. I still have an important unanswered question: **ARE THE ANIMALS STUNNED BEFORE SLAUGHTER?** Consumers deserve clear, transparent answers.

Elections Alberta changed the process once again without notifying anyone properly, just like when they told all scrutineers they were no longer needed because there were too many of them. So Elections Alberta took all the ballots in a U-Haul back to Edmonton to count in a secret room without scrutineers or what is going on here? What a fucking disgrace this referendum has been. The entire thing is a fraud.
