Netanyahu openly acknowledges the possibility of a breakdown in the U.S/Israel alliance, arguing that soon a man or woman who is extremely hostile to Israel could come to power.
This is yet another counterweight from Netanyahu. Although the level of the U.S/Israel alliance did not accelerate as much under Democratic administrations as it did under Trump, there is no Democratic government capable of delivering significant setbacks to that alliance.
I’ll go further and say that even under a more independent Democratic line, Israel’s strength in the U.S. Congress will maintain and even consolidate the alliance in several respects.
Netanyahu then says Israel must forge alternative alliances:
“That is what I am working on now with many countries in our region, as well as countries outside our region. India is no small country.”
He uses this argument to try to highlight his ability to forge alliances outside the American circle.
On this point his government has indeed advanced, but in part that is because a good portion of American diplomacy has been working for him.

BIG: A Russian military satellite, Kosmos 2612, has been maneuvering to within 136 meters of the U.S.-registered ICEYE-X36 radar imaging satellite, according to satellite trackers, with a closer pass of about 48 meters predicted for Monday.
Dutch satellite tracker Marco Langbroek said a series of maneuvers since September 30 were designed to match the satellite’s orbit with ICEYE-X36’s.
Astronomer Jonathan McDowell called it the first known case of an active satellite making an uninvited close approach to another active satellite in low Earth orbit.
ICEYE, a Finnish company, has supplied radar imagery to Ukraine since 2022, though it is unclear whether this satellite serves Ukraine.
There are no signs of damage so far, and Russia’s intentions remain unclear.

Lithuanian Defense Minister Robertas Kaunas says the drone that came down this morning "preliminarily entered Lithuanian airspace from Poland." Lithuanian radar tracked it flying north from Polish territory. Its wreckage fell near Juodžionys, between Biržai and Pasvalys in northern Lithuania, and debris hit a civilian car.
Put that on a map and the route is obvious. The drones took off from western Ukraine, flew north through Poland, crossed Lithuania and Latvia, and turned east toward the Leningrad Region only at the very end. That way they skipped Belarus and most of Russia's air defenses on the way to St. Petersburg.
That also kills Kiev's "Russian electronic warfare diverted it" excuse. Russian jamming didn't steer a drone hundreds of kilometers north through Poland.

THE CASE WAS SO HEARTBREAKING THAT EVEN THE JUDGE BROKE DOWN IN TEARS WHILE SENTENCING THE K!LLERS OF 12-YEAR-OLD GAVIN PETERSON.
Gavin Peterson, 12, from West Haven, Utah, died on July 9, 2024, after suffering prolonged abuse, starvation and neglect at the hands of his own family.
Gavin was confined to an empty room and deprived of basic necessities. His father, Shane Peterson, his stepmother, Nichole Scott, and his older brother, Tyler Peterson, were implicated in the abuse that led to his de@th.
During sentencing, Judge Camille Neider became visibly emotional as she addressed Gavin’s father, telling him: “You were Gavin’s dad. I don’t think you deserve that title anymore.”
The case was so devastating that the judge remarked on being more emotional about Gavin’s suffering than his own father appeared to be.
Shane Peterson was sentenced to 5 years to life in prison, Nichole Scott received 15 years to life, and Tyler Peterson was sentenced to 5 years to life in February 2026.
Gavin was only 12 years old. The people who should have protected him became responsible for his suffering, leaving a judge deeply shaken by the cruelty of the case.
