"Mr. President understands the calculus of inclusion. He listens to those who disagree with him. He thinks beyond the calendar of an administration. He treats the future as a responsibility owed to those who cannot yet vote. He plans for citizens yet unborn, for industries yet to be established, and for possibilities that timid minds dismiss before examining them. This is why he'll always remain the conqueror of the Atlantic." — VP Kashim Shettima

“Permit me a personal moment for my son, Seyi. I've watched what you started with City Boy, and I got some calls within the last few weeks asking me what Seyi is running for. I said he's running after his father You did it humbly, you did not ask for a title or an office, you went to the young people, your age mates, your group, you listened to them and you organised them, I am proud of all of you” - Mr President, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, GCFR thanking his son Seyi Tinubu @STinubu for his support and for mobilising his young colleagues to support his re-election. #SeyiTinubu #RenewedHope #CityBoyMovement

How bitterness can unravel a man’s legacy! For many Nigerians in their late 40s and 50s, who grew up seeing you as one of the great minds of this nation, your recent interventions have become a source of profound disappointment. I only began paying closer attention to you a few years ago, always eager to understand your perspectives and submissions on serious national issues. But increasingly, I find the same old narratives: “I was in a room in Kuala Lumpur… I was coming from Atlanta… We were discussing in London… When I returned from grad school… We had hoped in the ’80s…” Baba, nostalgia is not a substitute for fresh ideas, and name-dropping is not the same as intellectual depth. Now, you are talking about CIVIL WAR because of the conversations of about 15 people at a lunch in Manchester? Are you seriously suggesting that the determination of a handful of people outside Nigeria to resist electoral malpractice is a credible basis for predicting civil war? Do you know that, even yesterday, people were gathering across several wards in Nigeria, strategising and organising on how to campaign for the APC? Or do those conversations not count because they do not fit your preferred narrative? And back to the main issue: anyone thinking clearly knows that Tinubu does not necessarily need to rig the 2027 election to win it. Whether he will win is ultimately for Nigerians to decide at the ballot box, but there are political realities, structures and metrics that his supporters believe work in his favour. You may disagree with his politics, and you are entitled to your opinion. But there is a difference between warning Nigerians about electoral malpractice and stoking fears of civil war. We need intellectuals who offer solutions, not prominent voices who turn every political disagreement into an apocalyptic prophecy. Baba Pupa, ẹ sọra yín oooo! 👀🤷🏽‍♂️
I am in the middle of an accidental town hall meeting in Manchester in the UK. I came to a Lunch to which Peter Obi was invited. I found food I looked forward to deferred for questions on the trouble with Nigeria. Many of the questions suggest worry about the boldness of public officials in projecting rigging with results of elections of 2027 considered in the pocket. They were energized to ask for how they could own fighting rigging. The determination to do whatever will prevent election malpractice suggest we may see a civil war if power tries to muscle the will of the people this time.

Retired Justice Mary Odili has presided over and participated in high profile panels at the Supreme Court involving major political parties like APC and PDP 2: Did APC shout or called for our recusal officially? The answer is NO. -(a): But Una gate keepers of morality dey keep quiet ba. 3: You can’t stagnate her career of more than two decades because of a political association of @SegunShowunmi 4: When @SegunShowunmi was in PDP and spokesman for Atiku, the question is: did his wife influence election results in 2019 in favour of Abu Cameroon? 5: 2023, Peter Obi won election when she was administrative Secretary, the question is: why did not complain that time? 6: so, if Segun Showunmi dey NDC Abi ADC today, you no go complain ba. 7: His wife is a neutral person and I am praying for her to be nominated as a National Commissioner one day. 8: Perfect healing.

The regulation of abbatoirs falls on states and local government councils. Health inspectors should be up and about their duties. When you get to see how some bakeries handle their business, you may not eat bread anymore. Let's not even discuss some restaurants and "bukas"

STATEHOUSE PRESS STATEMENT PRESIDENCY RESPONDS TO GOVERNOR MAKINDE’S CLAIM ON NLNG DIVIDENDS The Presidency wishes to clarify Governor Seyi Makinde’s @seyimakinde claim that the Federal Government is withholding ₦250 billion in @officialnlng dividends for each state of the Federation. At the 2027 Budget Stakeholders’ Consultative Engagement held at the Olola Ogunlana Hall, International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, on Friday, Makinde claimed the funds would not be released until after the 2027 elections. He further claimed that the Federal Government had spent the money. “Each state was supposed to get ₦250 billion. We had already identified projects that would expand Oyo State’s economy. But they have now said the money will not be paid until after the election. Is the election more important than the people of Nigeria?” the governor said. Makinde's latest claim that the Federal Government is withholding the NLNG dividend windfall is false and should be disregarded. Here are the facts the public should know about how the Federation Account is managed and how money is shared among the three tiers of government. Even as a one-off distribution, ₦250 billion to each of the 36 states amounts to ₦9.0 trillion, excluding the Federal Government, the FCT, and the 774 local councils. Under the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) formula, states receive 26.72% of the distributable Federation Account revenue. For the states’ share alone to reach ₦9 trillion, total NLNG dividends paid into the Federation Account would have to exceed ₦33.68 trillion (about $25 billion) in a single declaration. NLNG has never paid $25 billion in dividends to the Federation Account in a single payout. NLNG and Historical Dividend Context: NLNG has paid approximately $21.5 billion in dividends to the Federation over the last 25 years, with less than $3 billion realised since President Bola Ahmed Tinubu assumed office. Therefore, any claim that a single payout exceeds the company’s entire lifetime distribution to the Federation—and is being withheld—defies basic logic and economic reality. We expect Governor Makinde to be more measured in his public conduct and utterances. Since he embarked on his presidential bid, he has chosen to play politics by making misleading claims rather than presenting verifiable facts. Indeed, he has turned false, unguarded statements and claims into an art form. He once described the huge financial flow from the federation account to states, including Oyo, as 'voodoo'. Under Nigerian law, Governor Makinde is free to pursue his presidential ambition. He should desist from making falsehoods and disinformation the hallmarks of his campaign. We urge the public to disregard these unfounded claims, which serve only to mislead citizens and stoke needless disaffection against the Federal authorities. Peter Obi said he built Savannah Bank branch in Enugu, had a supermarket in Nsukka campus, had 3 cars, and lived in his own house when he was a student. But Here’s a video of Mr Nwodo on his 70th birthday that Obi as a university student and his friend used to come to his house to clean his house also wash his cars and would sometimes “steal” the car to flaunt to their other friends, and Obi was at that event o Me: Oh Lord come down and manifest your powers

Tinubu spent Federal Government money to renovate and restore the First Niger Bridge to a better condition, bringing it closer to international standards. Imagine if he had instead saved that money in Fidelity Bank, become the bank’s chairman, and allowed the First Niger Bridge to collapse! Honestly, this Tinubu sef! Instead of building a Hero Beer factory, he chose to invest in infrastructure that improves the lives and comfort of ordinary Nigerians.🤣
