Put education aside and the grades, average youth lack critical thinking ability, the reason you see them support individual they should be asking question

Nigeria's 9-3-4 policy says Basic 1–9 is one continuous stream no entrance exam needed between primary and JSS1. Yet states + NECO still run Common Entrance to get in. So which is it: a continuation, or 6-3-3 in disguise? 🤔 #EducationPolicy #Nigeria #NECO

Regardless of formal education or grades, the average Nigeria youth often struggles with critical thinking, leading them to blindly follow individuals who should instead be held accountable.

we all debating whether WAEC Nigeria's head is fit for the role because his degrees are in Animal Science rather than education. Wrong debate. He runs the administration, not the scoring. The actual failure: WAEC never releases the psychometric details behind its examinations.

The official campaigns for the 2027 elections will soon kick off nationwide. Take 1 minute and ponder on these hard facts! 1. No face cap can cover your hunger for 4 years. 2. No T-Shirt can protect you from insecurity for 4 years. 3. 5kg rice cannot help your belly for 4 years. 4. 1 litre of groundnut oil cannot sustain your kitchen for 4 years. 5. 4 yards of Ankara cannot cover poverty for 4 years. 6. If someone offers you 10k for campaign or voting, ask yourself this question. How much do they give to their children as pocket money per month? 7. Remember, your 10k is for 4 years and it is once and for all. 8. Think about your value. Think about your voice. Think about your future. You are also human and you must not die on the crumbs table! 9. Politicians are not more Nigerian than you are. The power is in your hands. 10. If the best candidate does not have the chance to win, waste your vote on him without a second thought. 11. It is better to live a fulfilled life than voting for your own problems. It is the best thing to do. You have a chance to speak in the future. 12. Remember you are not suffering as a Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, Nupe, Igala,Tiv or Jukun but as a Nigerian. Reject all ethnical cards that are unfavourable to your future. 13. They will visit you during campaign but you will never see them again until the next campaign. 14. Work for an accountable candidate. 15. Election is local but politics is international. The outcome of election will not only affect you, it affects all Nigerians irrespective of where they are. 16. Think about the character and integrity of your candidate. 17. Don't submit yourself as campaign thug, the children of politicians are enjoying abroad. They don't go out with knife gun or charms. Their lives are very important to their parents. Be Wise!

My country youth where most of them lack critical thinking to think for themselves, then start applauding one man that seems to them as if he had all the answers or know too well, VDM is just an average Nigeria who understands how to work with the emotions of pple

Look at our children enjoying a peaceful boat ride with their peers from other countries here in Rome. We will continue to make education fun, entertaining, and rewarding for our children. In 10 years, I pray you will be alive to see what this generation of our children will become through our sustained effort. They will be greater than we have ever been.

There is a false tribal narrative being circulated claiming that we dropped a Yoruba child to replace him with an Igbo child for the International STEM Olympiad in Rome. That claim is completely false. This is the full live stream of the 2026 South East Maths Olympiad Grand Finale, where the winners emerged. Our selection process was conducted publicly because we believe transparency is the best way to protect integrity. We deliberately stream our competitions live so everyone can see how winners are determined. Our goal is simple: ensure that the right children win based on merit, not ethnicity, religion, connections or influence. We are building a generation that believes hard work is rewarded. Merit is not negotiable. Watch the full Afia TV live broadcast and judge the process for yourself: youtube.com/watch?v=F8Dk3EFX… Nigeria's children deserve better than tribal propaganda. They deserve fairness.

I stopped taking Nigerians seriously after the last election. They are unified by suffering and will jointly complain but when it's time to vote a credible solution they suddenly suspend their brains for tribalism. Then complain again until the next election. And repeat. – at United Kingdom

The recent JAMB admission benchmarks and exemption of some Education/Agriculture candidates from UTME have sparked debate across Nigeria. As a Measurement & Evaluation expert, I think the conversation needs more technical clarity than emotion.

When benchmarks continue to decline without transparent psychometric justification, stakeholders begin to question whether standards are being protected. These concerns of the public are legitimate. Lowering entry benchmarks may increase access temporarily,

but access without quality assurance can weaken confidence in the education system over time. Educational standards are not protected by arbitrary cut-off marks, but by scientifically determined, valid, and defensible assessment decisions grounded in sound measurement principles.
