The years since 2020 have really shown just how social media can be used to spread misinformation. Malaysian who follow right-wing American accounts have fallen for the lie that the protests are somehow connected to immigrants, Muslims, Africans, etc

For three years, she didn’t know where they were. Now this Palestinian woman is saying goodbye to her sister, her daughter and her granddaughter, three generations of her family killed when the Israeli occupation bombed buildings in Al-Daraj, northeast of Gaza City, in the early days of the genocide. They lay buried under the rubble until Civil Defence crews finally reached them, and on Sunday their remains were carried, wrapped in Palestinian flags, among 75 martyrs to Sheikh Radwan Cemetery.
Many families at the funeral received little more than bones. Around 8,000 people are still buried under Gaza’s rubble, according to Civil Defence spokesperson Mahmoud Basal, and his crews are still waiting on the excavators, bulldozers and DNA testing equipment they need to recover and identify them. Until they arrive, thousands of families like hers are left waiting years just for a grave.

Why should the conditions of the house arrest remain a secret? He is a convicted criminal , with a conditional pardon, not a full pardon, which he has not met. His greed has created a country in debt and every Malaysian is paying for it today and years to come.
So why should conditions of his house arrest be kept away from the people. How is this even legal, democratic and fair? The people deserves to know the conditions of his house arrest.
Be transparent and reveal it. I ask that the Prison Department stop playing the drama that they are now and reveal the SOPs. Because the people deserves to know , how something that is not part of Malaysian criminal law can be decided by a Department under the Ministry of Home Affairs without the scrutiny of Parliament. The whole process is undemocratic. We have no such thing as a house arrest.

My grandfather owned thousands of olive trees that provided enough food for our family and the entire neighborhood. Now, all these lands have been seized, and we haven’t eaten our olives for over three years.
My grandfather passed away a few months ago. His only wish was to see his land again.
Out of roughly 2 million olive trees in Gaza before October 2023, only 150,000 trees remain standing. This is a loss of roughly 85% to 90% of the region's olive groves.
Ecocide is the deliberate, widespread destruction of natural ecosystems necessary to sustain human life. Many experts would agree that Israel's systematic destruction of Palestinian farmlands, aquifers, and trees would qualify as ecocide.
Under international humanitarian law including the Geneva Conventions, any objects indispensable to the survival of the civilian population like agricultural areas are granted special protections during conflict.
Olive oil and table olives are crucial to Gaza's local agricultural economy, but in Palestinian culture, olive trees are much more than just a commodity. They are symbols of continuity, resilience, and attachment to the soil. Many groves are hundreds of years old and passed down through generations.
Unlike annual crops like tomatoes or cucumbers that can be replanted and harvested in a single season, mature olive trees represent decades of invested capital. Losing them wipes out a reliable source of income for thousands of families, leaving them dependent on foreign aid.

“Why doesn’t the US army do more to restrain the settlers in California harassing and killing Indians” asks the concern liberal c 1890. Buddy wait til you hear how all settler colonies manage their perpetual frontiers while maintaining the veneer of liberal, rule of law formalism
Heidi Levine, an American photographer for the Washington Post, was beaten by Israeli settlers in the West Bank today while covering an olive harvest by Palestinians. She’s now in a Ramallah hospital. This happens every day on the West Bank. Every single day.
Palestinians attacked, journalists attacked, Israeli & foreign observers attacked. When is the IDF going to start taking this seriously? And where is the US embassy & Trump administration?

Never forget that Palestinians are subject to this kind of violence, even death, at the hands of settlers and soldiers on a daily basis. Yet, they always put their lives on the line for this land and for others.

Indonesian palm oil exports to the EU have surged this year due to implementation of the EU Deforestation Regulation.
The Indonesia-European Union Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IEU-CEPA) will be signed soon and enter into force next year, dropping EU import tariffs on palm oil to zero. Business is booming.
