it's been a bit since i talked about bitcoin and ordinals here so let's keep the ball rolling. introducing ordspv: a trustless resolver for ordinals content want your art + metadata + assets on bitcoin referenced by eth/sol/xtz tokens without a hosted indexer? now you can.

I’ll tell you exactly what I think the disconnect is for CT’s NFT enjoyers and ordinals. none of them held bitcoin. and when I say none of them, I mean literally none ~ like 95% of NFT bros don’t or at least didn’t hold bitcoin from 18k all the way to 127k. so when ordinals popped off in 2023, only those who understood the decentralized culture and provenance of bitcoin moved straight into ordinals. and with that being the case, now that ordinals have had an extreme pull back it is much easier for alt chain NFT bros to fade it yet again, and the same outcome will happen on the next face melting ordinals bull run. long live decentralized artworks, long live ordinals.

Yesterday, we soft launched ◉RD. It is about viewing Ordinals through a fresh lens and laying foundations to build on top of. ➔ ord.net I will have more to say about it in the coming days, but for now, check it out. Connect your wallet(s), play around, and do not hold back on feedback. Re: collection data and the listing process. ◉RD indexes every inscription, parent, and gallery. All "collections" are either galleries or one or more parents. The goal is to rely on onchain data as much as possible. The listing process becomes more of a verification process, where we mark an existing parent or gallery as a verified collection, give it a URL slug and title, and enable trading. Verification is currently handled through our public Github. ➔ github.com/TheWizardsOfOrd/o… There is plenty of tooling now for inscribing galleries. Take your time and do it right. Make sure the title and metadata are correct. Wen OMB? Wen NM? When we get good, complete galleries for them. There is no urgency. Ideally, those galleries come from the project founders, but they can also come from the community. What matters is that the data is good and reflects what Magic Eden or Satflow had. GLHF

TLDR: I make stuff and want to show you. 1. New wesbite in my bio. Go snoop around & join the Discord if you like the work. 2. I made this pfp, and it's part of a larger series. 3. 24hr batch auction starts tomorrow for the [Modal] series. Full details tomorrow on this. ──────────── I'd consider it my first release around here (kinda), and we've built a batch auction platform to distribute it in a way that addresses boring pain points noticed in our eco such as whitelisting, collabs, mint phases and price-setting. I've been diving deeply into pixel art the last several years, but for the most part it's been off-the-radar. It's not my first foray into the art world - far from it. But this is my first time in a while talking about my own work publicly here. The Modal series (if I had to label it) is a minimalist abstract color study that focuses on our path from atoms to sentience to singularity. I guess it's commentary on (and my way of digesting) how we might've happened to end up where we are. This is a deeply personal work to me, so I hope that anyone who heads to the site feels even a fraction as excited as I am about it. It's a strange execution, as it includes nine distinct subseries, and even a draft parent with 100+ drafts reinscribed along the way to detail the process further. There are tons of easter eggs such as 255 cross-series duos with related palettes and on-chain trait sorting (notably in Identity and Gradient series) straight from any non-marketplace explorer. There's so much to explore about parent-child relationships, the ordinals protocol and the nature of existence in general and this is a direct product of that overlap. Feel free to DM with any questions about the work or better yet post them below- as others might be wondering the same thing. Thanks for the eyes <3

Who’s building it! Royalties on Bitcoin! Let’s pay our artist to cultivate IP and community! @lifofifo @Satflow ????
Royalties may have saved NFTs! Why do I say that? It becomes a positive flywheel! The team needs to deliver to continue to be paid which rewards the convicted holders in return. No longer is there the need to offer up high price mints of alt collections to continue to fund the treasury! It removes bot farming given trading in and out frequently becomes detrimental and a losing trade. The teams that deliver will win for themselves and their communities! They will have a cash reserve to continue to feed into the community to grow the brand and reward holders! @goodvibesclub has shown how well this model works especially with an amazing team behind it! It seems @D3lMundos is cooking up some stuff for the community as well based on discord discussions with the team! It all starts with the art! This becomes the token of entry into the community and its rewards! The teams that can cultivate a great community who love their art will win in the long run! Maybe NFTs aren’t dead after all!

There’s few things I believe in in this space. Art and Bitcoin are the main ones. Might be delusional…but I love how @OrdinalMaxiBiz unites both. @Parasite_wtf

Bitcoin Ordinals doesn’t need more geniuses right now. It already has Casey Rodarmor, lifofifo and other elite devs building the rails. What it needs now is fun, culture and taste. Ordinals doesn’t move forward with code alone. It moves when builders make it impossible to ignore. Make it worth artists, collectors and degens’ time. Explore Art 🟧

Look at the bright side. No one even remembers NFTs on Bera, Monad, Abstract, Sui, Aptos, or the 20 other dogshit VC chains. Meanwhile, Ordinals are still the best way to put art on any blockchain.
