Programmers used to be prominently a woman's career, wages rose when it became associated with men. And when working in parks and camps switched from being mostly men to mostly women, the pay dropped by 57%. It's not the "wrong subjects".

So this month I learned that while I was writing my draft thesis w/ undiagnosed T1D back in May, my blood glucose levels were so high my brain was actually starving and my blood was pretty much molasses... #AcademicChatter #T1D
Not sure what to do with that apart from be glad that writing the final draft will feel less like I’m smashing ma face off a wall? #yayforinsulin
Last few days didn’t go as expected... smashed my Mock Viva then promptly got a diagnosis of type 1 diabetes 🙃
Not to be too sickly sweet (lol) but feeling outrageously greatful for the bloody wonderful #nhs right now 🏆✨
