A closer look at recent acquisitions ↓

More soon from our collaboration with Wintercircus. This is just the beginning. 🚀
Exploring the esoteric side of computation, @p1xelfool investigates the shifting boundaries between synthetic and organic entities. His practice explores machines not just as tools, but as interfaces for embodied and phenomenological experiences.
For CONSENT, he presents **e/pi:/dermis 0:1** on Wintercircus’s LED wall.
Behind its computer-generated images lies a deeply physical process: for at least 30 uninterrupted minutes, the artist types on a handmade keyboard fitted with cast-metal keys, using a pseudo-language of his own invention.
Software, sculpture and performance converge in an exercise in endurance — where the body becomes both the operator and the interface.
Our first step: @p1xelfool joins CONSENT, an exhibition running from October 24 to November 8 at Wintercircus.
Every day we agree to things we never read. We tick boxes, walk past cameras and hand over our faces to unlock a phone, while the terms are written somewhere else by people we will never meet.
CONSENT brings together nine artists and a public programme to slow this process down and ask: what happens to the body once a machine has learned to read it?

We’re thrilled to announce a new partnership between objkt and Wintercircus.
Over the coming months, we’ll bring a series of physical exhibitions to this dynamic technology and innovation hub in the heart of Ghent, connecting artists and projects from the objkt ecosystem with new audiences and contexts.
We can’t wait to get started.

Curated by Anika Meier, Kika Nicolela, and Micol Ap, the exhibition revisits Aram Bartholl's iconic Speed Show format: for one evening, every computer in an internet café presents the same exhibition.

Throughout Dear David, OONA transformed CCTV recordings into video love letters.
The footage was originally captured and held by Transport for London. By requesting and repurposing it, she turned those recordings into artworks released on Tezos.

“In sickness and surveillance. For better or for worse. To watch and to be watched. Until the cameras do us part.”
Through humor and the language of romance, OONA questions a relationship most of us enter without choosing: being watched in public space.

The wedding turned the conventions of marriage into a performance about surveillance.
OONA wore a surveillance wedding dress and exchanged a traditional ring for a functioning camera ring.
David was represented by an empty space at the altar.
The audience became both wedding guests and observers.

In 2019, OONA began performing in front of CCTV cameras on the London Underground.
She then exercised her legal right to request the footage.
David was responsible for processing those requests. Over the next seven years, they exchanged more than 400 emails without ever meeting in person.

OONA married the surveillance state. ✦
On October 16, @madebyoona staged a wedding to David, a CCTV Data Manager at Transport for London.
The performance at Shoreditch Arts Club marked the conclusion of her seven-year project, "Dear David: A Surveillance Love Story".
