Yields sank and the Nasdaq tanked.
Be careful what you wish for when it comes to lower yields, especially if it is due to AI slowing down.
Ok. Fine. Be a jerk.

One thing in the Industrial Production report that stood out was the abrupt September decline in Information Processing Business Equipment production. The category has been tracking the AI infrastructure buildout among businesses and this pullback, while just one month, certainly provides a tangible datapoint that backs the concerns the market is expressing pertaining to the AI trade. ANTHROPIC IPO VALUATION EXPECTATIONS DROP TO ~$1.5T FROM $2T: RTRS
Some existing and prospective investors are reconsidering the Claude maker's valuation ahead of its anticipated November IPO, according to Reuters.
Anthropic reported Q3 revenue of $16.8B, up 45% QoQ, compared with growth of more than 100% in Q2, when revenue reached $11.6B.
Despite reporting adjusted profitability, the slowdown disappointed some investors, with a broader tech selloff and concerns over rising AI infrastructure costs adding pressure.
The company has committed to spending at least $518B on cloud computing and infrastructure over the next decade.

When the government cannot make its mind, businesses are forced to hedge.
You hedge by building redundancy eg factories in 2 countries instead of 1.
This is a distraction, which causes businesses to invest less in new products or marketing.
In other words, the never-ending directionless tariff policy is a huge handicap on American business.
