Rand Paul is literally a medical doctor and surgeon who operates on eyes, which are one of the most delicate and complex organs in human body. When not busy in the Senate, he goes to third world countries and operates on people for free.

Lewis & Tolkien once made a wager a/b a writing project. One would write on Time and the other on Space. The "toss" resulted in the Space Trilogy by Lewis. But Tolkien never completed his side of the "bet." But what if it had fell to Lewis to write the time trilogy?
In a wild, but unsurprising, turn of events, this very wise caution about TRT was politicized to explain why young conservative men are "losing their minds." I don't even know where to begin with such a strange approach to the topic...But Seth has good thoughts here in the OP.
Before a man goes on TRT, here are seven things I think he should make a part of his life:
1. consistently get a minimum of seven hours of sleep
2. vitamin D supplementation
3. eat .8-.9 grams of protein per pound of your ideal bodyweight
4. 3x/wk heavy weight training, 2x/wk zone 2 cardio for 30+ minutes (the older you get the more zone 2 you need)
5. process and manage stress with a healthy friend network
6. limit alcohol to moderate use at 1x per week
7. get body fat between 10 and 20%
As of January 2027, I will no longer be a member of the TN Valley Presbytery. So, I'd like to celebrate that presbytery while it's still my own. One of the wonderful strengths of the TVP has been church planting in all kinds of places. It is a temptation to hobby horse plant in only one type of setting. But the TVP has planted suburban churches, rural churches, and urban churches. They have done daughter plants and welcomed other plants that begun without a home church. They have done rural revitalization work and sent an evangelist into rural counties. It has been wonderful to be in a presbytery that has acted so strongly upon the belief that the gospel is for all men in all places, for Christ is Lord over all.
The proof texts of WLC 127-130 give us insight into the theology and understanding of the divines. They are inconvenient for us as modern people. I wonder if the divines themselves would be tolerated if they preached in our churches.

It's frustrating how unable some people are to comprehend basic arguments
1. Schism is sin
2. Unjustified separation from an organizational church counts as schism
3. No amount of heresy in the church justifies separation from the church if the faithful are not expelled (This is the most controversial, but I've provided my sources again and again. This was made explicitly clear by the Presbyterian Westminster divines with the following Biblical examples: Old Testament pagan demon worship done by religious leaders, Apostles staying in Jewish church after its leaders rejected Christ and not leaving until kicked out)
4. PCA, OPC, etc all separated from the Mainline due to errors in the church despite not being excommunicated.
5. Therefore, PCA, OPC, etc are sinful churches
Where is the flaw in the argument? Simply saying "your church is liberal" or "the REAL schism is false teaching" or "I have kids" is not an argument.

“All the attributes of God are essential; that is, they are nothing separate and distinct from God, but God himself manifested in such and such forms…We can logically discriminate between essence and property; and in every other being there are properties which may be conceived as detached from the essence, but in the case of God the essence and the properties completely coincide. He has no separable accidents. All that He is, He is essentially.” – J.H. Thornwell, The Nature & Attributes of God
Why must we glorify God?
Because he gives us our being. ‘It is he that has made us’ (Psa. 100:3). We think it a great kindness in a man to spare our life, but what kindness is it in God to give us our life! We draw our breath from him; and as life, so all the comforts of life are from him. He gives us health, which is the sauce to sweeten our life; And food, which is the oil that nourishes the lamp of life. If all we receive is from his bounty, is it not reasonable that we should glorify him? Should we not live to him, seeing we live by him, ‘For of him, and through him, are all things’ (Romans 11:36). All we have is of his fullness, all we have is through his free grace; and therefore, to him should be all. It follows therefore, ‘To him be glory forever’. God is not our benefactor only, but our founder, as rivers that come from the sea empty their silver streams into the sea again.
