If AI destroyed your software career, I think you didn't have a career. What you had was a hobby. The era of making money off of your hobby has ended. Stop crying and buy a claude max subscription and start cooking there are so much to do.
@sandislonjsak back me up
The problem is if you don’t write code for long enough time, you won’t be able to write a spec anymore.
This is like every where. Since development cost is reduced practically to zero 1000% more code goes to production without proper testing.
The bad part is you can’t do QA anymore if you do you fall behind in the competition. This is the “ai slop” some fail to recognize some fine with it.
I don’t honestly remember when was the last time I used a software without major bugs interrupting my workflow.
Honestly in a billion subtle ways Anthropic products are absolute dogshit compared to OpenAI
- Voice-to-text cuts off the second you dare to breathe
- “Interrupt” in Claude Code ignores you half the time
- "Claude is down" literally every other day
- No threaded/pinned sessions in desktop app
- No "Steer" features in Claude Code
Sad because Claude the model I love tremendously so y'all please fix it. Anthropic the product org is getting completely mogged and it's embarassing
It’s scary but real
80% of the people in any organization right now are just cannon fodders they don’t directly contribute to any success they are there just to make other 20% who gets the job done feel like they are working for a bigger org.
Bosses know this and have been fine with it. Now the trend is more lean teams and 20% wants that. They want to get more things done faster with AI.
I asked Opus to create a hypothetical frontend code that is optimal for LLM comprehension and modification. Custom syntax is allowed in the perimeters of a typescript plugin.
This is the result. I kinda like it. It looks a little bit @ripple_ts
Pay attention UI code. It is written as a statement. Makes conditional rendering much more cleaner.
Example sign in form component.
low key shadcn is killing tailwindcss I bet you didn’t see that coming
How useful is llms.txt?
It's so useful that Tailwind rejected a PR to add an llms.txt, on the basis that it would be so useful that people wouldn't need to read their docs any more!
github.com/tailwindlabs/tail…
Didn’t listen Adam’s pod btw it’s too obvious
Tailwind's lost 40% of their web traffic, a bunch of revenue, and yet has 300%+ growth in npm installs and usage at all time highs.
An incredibly raw, honest take from one of our industry's best on the realities of running a business in the midst of the creative destruction AI is bringing.
Worth a listen, the whole way through.
This is a brand new chair.
The manufacturer needs a catalog for the fair they are going to attend next week.
They can hire a professional photographer and a studio and take some good pictures with good lighting then find an agency who can squeeze this in a short notice.
Or they can just use this very photo and create catalog ready pictures in just a couple of minutes. Everyone does this.
But the problem is, no one in the team knows how to use AI. Sure they know how to talk to Chat GPT but they have no idea about writing a good prompt for nano banana.
This where @GetFolioAI comes into the picture.
This manufacturer is our customer and they managed to create this photo using our app without writing a single word of prompt.
I absolutely love this. Because there are a lot of manufacturers using our app they have very limited budget for marketing but they have very cool products. Enabling them to compete in a level ground feels amazing.
Bun vs Deno vs Nodejs benchmark
Spoiler: Bun smokes both
