Yesterday evening as part of the Busoga Coffee and Cocoa Tourism Festival, the Nile Coffee Cruise convened an exceptional gathering of investors, exporters, partners, entrepreneurs, financiers, policymakers, tourism operators, and development partners
It was a deliberate convergence of capital, vision, and opportunity, held against the timeless backdrop of Africa's greatest river, the Nile. As the waters carried the vessel, so too did the conversations carry weight: discussions on investment, market access, value addition, and the partnerships required to move Busoga's coffee and cocoa value chains from potential to prosperity.
Guests sipped curated Busoga coffee while engaging in the kind of dialogue that does not end when the boat docks. The cruise demonstrated, in both setting and substance, that economic transformation is not built in isolation, it is built in rooms, on decks, and at tables where the right people meet with shared intent.

At Day 2 at the ongoing Busoga Coffee and Cocoa Tourism Festival2026, @MAAIF_Uganda team sensitised farmers on producing quality coffee, harvesting mature red cherries, drying on tarpaulins, avoiding contamination, and embracing value addition and packaging.
Mrs. Magada, a tour operator encouraged young women to explore coffee tourism and agritourism beyond traditional guiding roles.
Mr. Wandira Dan of Kaynela Farms emphasised farming as a business, a learning space, and a tourism experience.
The Youth Innovation Panel showcased young baristas and innovators pitching ideas to prepare, package, and serve coffee in more convenient and appealing ways.
The Agricultural Business Initiative (aBi) session connected farmers, women, and young people to finance, markets, and partnerships.
Together, these sessions reinforced the festival's core message: quality, value addition, and collaboration can build a stronger and more competitive coffee industry for Uganda.

Many came for the competition, but they also had the chance to explore our vibrant culture, rich wildlife, warm hospitality and breathtaking scenery.
As the tournament comes to a close, we celebrate a milestone for Ugandan golf and another step forward in positioning Uganda as a destination for world-class sporting events and memorable travel experiences.

All dreams are valid.
As a little girl, I loved animals so much that my cats and dogs often ended up sharing my bed.
In 2016, I discovered a passion for tourism and started attending every tourism event I could. That passion led me to internships at Aberdare Country Club in Kenya and later UWEC (Entebbe Zoo).
Today, I serve as an Asst. Tourism Warden with @ugwildlife , I’m a wildlife enthusiast, and I get to tell Uganda’s tourism story every chance I get.
Sometimes I pause and smile because I’m living the dream that started in childhood. Grateful for every step of the journey.
