I don't have any stocks and I don't expect I'm ever going to, regardless of where I'm going next year.
But I know we need a stock trading ban for members of congress, because elected officials can't be allowed to game the system.

Two Weeks Out:
As the curtain shrouding @SenatorCollins 30 YEARS OF CORRUPTION and selling out Maine’s working class is pulled back, @TroyJackson207’s numbers begin to surge.
Coincidence? I think not.
All gas. No brakes.

Fun fact - the United States does not have a standalone federal crime of “influence peddling.” When the US became a party to the United Nations Convention Against Corruption, the argument against new legislation that would prohibit the sale of access by public officials was effectively: our laws already prohibit that conduct.
But that was 2006 - ten years before McDonnell v. United States, in which SCOTUS held that to demonstrate bribery, the prosecution must prove that the defendant engaged in or agreed to engage in an “official act” in exchange for the thing of value offered, promised or given to them.
So here we are in 2026 and any attempt to prosecute the sale of access will be an uphill battle.

WSJ: Elon Musk ordered the slowdown of the military-grade Starlink network used by Ukraine, according to U.S. officials and people familiar with the matter.
Trump and Musk have both expressed anger at Ukraine for attacking Russian diesel refineries, which Trump blames for high energy prices. Last week, Musk capped the connection speeds of Ukrainian devices, rendering some attack drones and interceptor drones virtually useless.

We should be able to have a Medicare for All system, we should be able to afford prescription drugs, we should be able to afford childcare.
We’re often met with the question of how we can afford that vision as a country. I’ll tell you how: stop giving tax cuts to the wealthiest people in the country and start making them pay their fair share.

I don't want to brag, but this morning I walked outside and saw a squirrel, a cat and a bird.
I was able to identify them all.
100% correct.
I'll tell you about it again tomorrow.

Troy Jackson on Manchin campaigning with Susan Collins this week
"Joe Manchin and Susan Collins are fake “moderates” who hide behind that label to sell out working people to big corporations and special interests."
"Regardless of party, they fight for the same people: the wealthy and the powerful."

Somewhere along the line, I understood that maybe my greatest asset was being willing to speak out for those who couldn't. Feckless attacks from the billionaire class aren't going to scare me out of fighting tooth and nail for working Mainers.

The president does not own this country. Billionaires do not own this country. A senate seat doesn’t belong to a person who has held it for 30 years.
It still belongs to the people of Maine.
