This is why we have been trying to get as many Europeans out through our remote tax residency program in Honduras. Nomadlayer.com @nomadlayer
This is very interesting and expected European governments and thus the EU too is losing lots of tax income from Europeans fleeing Next on the agenda is the European Exit Tax and after that I think they will try to add Worldwide Income Tax (like the US already has) meaning it doesn't matter where you live in the world as a European citizen, the EU will tax you for your entire income! It's the only way for the EU to stop the financial drain of so many high skilled Europeans physically leaving and setting up companies or finding better paying opportunities elsewhere due to the EU's anti-business regulation And their increasing expenses of paying social welfare for low quality and low IQ mass immigration they brought in which didn't have the payback they expected!

Just dropped on The Expat Money Show with Mikkel Thorup. Episode 413 covers something most digital nomads get dangerously wrong: having no tax residency at all. I joined Mikkel to talk about Próspera's Lump Sum Tax Regime on Roatán, Honduras and why it was built specifically for people who live, work, and invest across borders. We covered: Why "perpetual traveler" status is becoming a liability, not a strategy The pressure hitting Canadians, Europeans, and Australians leaving high-tax countries How banks have become the enforcement arm of the global tax system What makes Próspera's structure different for internationally mobile founders and entrepreneurs If you're building a flag theory setup or just want a real tax home that works with your lifestyle, this one is worth your time. expatmoneyshow.com/episodes/…

Paraguay or Próspera for your Plan B? They're not competitors. They solve different problems. Paraguay → a country move. New base in South America, territorial tax. Próspera → a digital base. Flat $5,000/year tax, plus residency, banking, and company formation in one stack. Non-US remote workers, founders, and retirees: Próspera was built for you. Full breakdown: youtube.com/watch?v=QOkyz6Dt…

High taxes are a choice, not a requirement. I built a flat $5K option for non-US remote workers, handled entirely online from anywhere via @ProsperaZEDE in Honduras. 🇭🇳 Legally exit your last residency and you qualify. The numbers talk. @nomadlayer NomadLayer.com

Most governments treat tax complexity as a feature, not a bug. Próspera has a $5K/year flat tax. Dubai has zero income tax. Monaco. Andorra. The list is short. What other jurisdictions are actually getting this right?

In today’s episode, I sit down with @joeyyusef founder of @nomadlayer . We discuss why tax residency is one of the most important pieces of an offshore Plan-B, and how Próspera, in Honduras, is building a new approach to tax residency for people who live, work, and invest across multiple countries. Enjoy!

The world is splitting into rival blocs. US, China, the EU. Everyone hardening borders, onshoring supply chains, weaponizing tax. When the system fragments, concentration is the risk. One residency. One bank. One passport. One government that can change the rules overnight. The fix is layers. Layers of sovereignty. Layers of freedom. Each one a jurisdiction no single government controls. That's what we build. One layer at a time. Próspera Lump Sum Tax Regime. $5,000/year flat. CAFTA-DR protected. Not a CRS participant. Don't pick a side. Build your layers. @nomadlayer

The beauty of this program is that it's designed for nomads, not residents. You pay remotely, spend a few months in Japan, Portugal, Dubai, or wherever suits you, then fulfil your 7-day physical presence in Próspera at your convenience. Honduras is the legal vehicle, not a lifestyle prescription. I built this specifically for people in high-tax countries like Canada, Germany, and the UK who want a clean, legal tax structure without being forced to plant roots anywhere. The 7-day minimum is a feature, not a flaw. And yes, I'm American, so I can't personally use it. That's never stopped anyone from building infrastructure they believe in for others. 🫡

I built a company to solve a problem I watched destroy other people's businesses. The problem: location-independent professionals, remote founders, consultants, freelancers, earn income everywhere but legally belong nowhere. Tax systems weren't built for them. Most countries still assume you work where you sleep. If you work from 4 countries in a year, nobody's rules fit cleanly. So they wing it. They assume vague presence in a low-tax country counts. It doesn't. I've watched talented people, running real businesses, billing real clients, face six-figure tax bills they didn't see coming. Not because they were dishonest. Because they had no clean legal home. That gap is what Nomad Layer solves. One legal tax residency. One annual payment. Set up remotely. No flights required to onboard. We built it inside Próspera: a Special Economic Zone in Honduras with its own legal code, its own tax regime, and a $5,000 flat annual tax. I didn't just find this jurisdiction. I helped design the programme. If you're location-independent and your tax situation is vague: that's not freedom. That's exposure. None of these require 6 months. Neither does Próspera ZEDE in Honduras. 7 days. $5,000 lump sum tax. Fully remote. nomadlayer.com @nomadlayer
Most people think you need to spend 6 months in a country to become a tax resident there. That's the 183-day rule. And for most countries, it's true. But not all of them. Nomad tax residency is a concept most leads have never heard of. Certain countries will grant you full tax residency status without requiring you to live there half the year. You get a legitimate tax home, a tax residency certificate that banks and brokerages accept, and the ability to answer the question every financial institution asks: "Where do you pay tax?" Seven countries doing this right now: Malta. Specific tax residency programs allow tax status with minimal physical presence. Cyprus. Non-dom regime with favorable treatment of foreign income. Uruguay. Tax residency obtainable under certain conditions without full-year presence. Paraguay. One of the easiest residency and tax setups in the Americas. Antigua & Barbuda. Tax residency with zero income tax. Minimal stay. Georgia. HNWI route offers tax residency with flexible presence requirements. Cayman Islands. Zero tax jurisdiction. Residency available for qualifying individuals. This matters because "I don't live anywhere" is no longer a viable answer. Banks reject it. Governments are cracking down on it. The OECD is closing the gaps. You need a documented tax home. These countries let you have one without being chained to it. Which one fits your situation depends on your citizenship, your income structure, your family, and where you actually want to spend your time. That's what we figure out together. Go where you're treated best. eu1.hubs.ly/H0tcRjP0 #NomadCapitalist #NomadTaxResidency #TaxResidency #Malta #Cyprus #Uruguay #Paraguay #Antigua #Georgia #CaymanIslands #ZeroTax #HNWI #DigitalNomad #GoWhereYoureTreatedBest
