The last lyrics Oscar Hammerstein II ever wrote – and some of the most unforgettable. 🤍 On October 21, 1959, Oscar completed the last lyrics of his career, for "Edelweiss," which was then added to The Sound of Music's pre-Broadway tryout in Boston and went on to become one of the most beloved songs from the musical.
