#ISSA #OIC #Baghdad

Over the past few days in Lausanne, I attended the AIMS General Assembly and the SportAccord Forum. They were important opportunities to meet leaders, colleagues and partners from across international sport, discuss cooperation and exchange ideas on how we can better support athletes, NOCs, and develop the sport sector in our member countries. The meetings also saw the signing of several Memoranda of Understanding, opening new areas of cooperation for the period ahead. These meetings and partnerships are part of our ongoing work to create new opportunities and support the sport sector across our 57 member countries.

Over the past few days in Taif, our workshops, Executive Board meetings and General Assembly gave us an important opportunity to listen, exchange ideas and gain a clearer understanding of our member countries’ priorities and the next stage ahead. The discussions around ISSA’s programmes and initiatives were especially valuable in helping us better understand our members’ needs and continue developing programmes that create real impact and keep athletes at the heart of our work. My sincere thanks to our member country representatives, partners, speakers, teams and everyone who contributed on the ground and behind the scenes to make these days a success. We leave Taif with stronger connections, clearer priorities and a shared commitment to continue working together.

Wishing all athletes and teams the very best of success at the 6th Asian Beach Games in Sanya. I was pleased to take part as a speaker at the Middle East Sports Investment Forum (MESIF) in Riyadh, where we discussed the important role of sport as an economic sector that can attract investment and create real economic and social value during the rapid growth of the industry. The forum was also a great platform for dialogue and exchange, and a valuable opportunity to meet leaders and key stakeholders from the sports and investment sectors.

Behind every moment at #Riyadh2025, there was a media and broadcast team working silently … but creating a huge impact. 🎥✨ More than 400 media professionals photographers and videographers helped tell the story of the Games, capturing every detail with exceptional dedication — from words and images to sound and broadcast. And through a global broadcast network, the Games reached the world: 800+ hours of LIVE coverage 65+ channels and broadcasters from 51+ countries and a great reach in streaming thru DAZN and ANOCTV Thank you to everyone who ensured the message was delivered, the sound was heard, and the story was told the way it should be. You were a vital part of this success.🙏

As we conclude the 6th edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games – Riyadh 2025, we close an exceptional chapter in which the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia delivered an outstanding model of organization, readiness, and support for sport. I would like to express my deep appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, President of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association, for his leadership, guidance, and the trust he placed in us throughout this journey. His continuous support played a major role in the success of this edition. My sincere thanks also go to His Highness Prince Fahad bin Jalawi, President of the Local Organizing Committee, and to all his LOC team. The LOC’s commitment and professionalism were key throughout the preparation and during the Games. I also extend my appreciation to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and all member countries, whose engagement and participation strengthened the value and impact of this edition. I am proud of the tremendous efforts of the organizing teams and volunteers, and of the great performances shown by all athletes from our member nations — a true reflection of solidarity, commitment, and shared purpose. My thanks extend to all partners, organizing bodies, and media teams for their essential role in presenting this edition in the best possible way. We leave Riyadh 2025 with great pride and look ahead with confidence to the 7th edition in Malaysia, continuing our work to support athletes and strengthen the presence of sport across our member countries. #OneNation
