Thank you for everything @tim_cook, you've saved my life and millions more! Below is an open letter I sent you, that I also wanted to share with the world: it explains why I'll personally forever be grateful to you. Dear Tim, You once told us the world needs us in the arena. For 15 years, you’ve fought in that arena. As you step away to the sidelines today, just remember the immense impact you had while you were in it. We've never met, but I wanted to send you a note to say thank you. Why? For many reasons, but chiefly for the Apple Watch. In 20 years of covering technology, this is the product that will forever resonate with me as truly game-changing in ways other consumer technology products cannot be. 6 years ago, I had a heart attack after Thanksgiving, and the Apple Watch saved my life several times, and then proved to be an incredibly powerful companion in getting me back to good health. I've often said to people that Apple has done many great things, but the greatest is the Apple Watch. As you said, it's the biggest impact Apple has ever had on humanity, and the millions of lives saved would not have been possible with any other product. The current focus on health, both as an industry and as humanity, would also not have been possible without the industry you and your team kickstarted, and I will forever be grateful that you chose to bring this product to market. 40 years from now, when I'm hopefully still alive, I'll still forever be an Apple Watch fan. Money comes and goes, market cap fluctuates, and political winds blow in multiple directions, but this is a legacy that no one can ever deny. Congratulations on 15 incredible years you deserve to be lauded for, and for doing what few thought possible: picking up the mantle from Steve Jobs and leading Apple from strength to strength. I wish you the best in your new role. Thank you again! If there's ever a doubt that it was worth everything, I hope this email and the many others remind you of just how many lives you helped save.
Sending lots of love to the Apple community on my last day as CEO. My title changes tomorrow, but the love I have for the Apple community never will. Thank you for being a constant source of inspiration. My gratitude is endless, and I’m excited for the next chapter!

Get in touch with exec complaints and don't let up until they sort it out. I had to call back and speak to a few different people until I found one that was insanely good. The irony? She's part time only.

#iPhoneDuo Unboxing finally! This looks super cool. Come take a look and see how it compares to the #GalaxyZFold8!

I brought an iPhone Duo for @Astropad Workbench as I've been using it with my 18 Pro this year and love it for remoting into my coding Mac. Dear God, this is utter garbage. This NEEDS to be updated like yday, especially as they have a great iPad app already. Any alternatives?

Love it. Wish the Mac app wasn't so lame , especially the narrow flight column.

Picking up the Galaxy Z Fold 8 after using the iPhone Duo feels like putting down a dumbbell and picking up a potato chip.

Thanks for all the great feedback on Claude for iPhone Duo! Lots of folk are now optimising their own Duo apps, so I wanted to share more about how we built it, and a few of the details we sweated along the way.
Here's the new Claude experience on the iPhone Duo! It's going to be amazing for multitasking, Claude Code, and creating new things. Looking forward to see folk start using it tomorrow!

I'm not gonna lie - even tho some apps are janky and there's things I would do differently, I'm loving the iPhone Duo after a few hours. Still getting used to the size but this is really nice.

Also the weird change of colors with fingerprints or moisture or condensation, especially around the camera on the Burgundy. Mine was showing that straight out of the box sadly.

Exactly this. Average customers do not give a damn about any of this, and it's firmly in the bubble that people care
About 5% of my coworkers know about 7 yr updates, my wife never updates her phone and says every time she does something goes wrong lol. They have no clue what the a20,snapdragon or tensor is haha

This feels like a podcast in the making chaps. We've all got many of the oldies but goldies as well!

Yeah exactly this. It's funny... All this talk of AI and promotion of it etc, and my mum still won't use any intentional AI features and is blown away every time I show her something on Gemini

I suspect we'll see them rethink the bigger foldable strategy. Apple is inevitably going to push the market in a certain direction

Absolutely agree. I'm fortunate that I still gain insights from many people who work in retail but I do miss the direct feedback loop I used to have with customers. No better insight than being in retail

Never needed self defense training or mace in those days - just throw your phone at them then pick it up when they run away
