I think this is a losing strategy. You basically copied Higgsfield, removed the API markup, and now expect everyone to switch because you're cheaper. But price isn't what makes a product great. I compared both websites. Higgsfield looks 10x better. More features, more settings, more attention to detail. You can clearly see how much effort went into understanding what users actually need. That's a TON of work that 99% of copycats never do. If you want to compete, don't build a cheaper copy. Build a BETTER product!
As a builder in the AI video space, I was terrified about how much markup API providers charge for simply routing the models. Higgsfield API adds a 40% markup even with its maximum advertised discount. Fal adds 100%. Runway adds 414% (Seedance 2 480p) I might be hated by the industry, but :
Today, we’re launching Sume API, the first image & video model provider with 0% markup. For example with Seedance 2.5 1080p • 50% cheaper than fal • 50% cheaper than higgsfield api (29% even with biggest discount) • 28.02% cheaper than kie ai The routing infrastructure layer is never the moat. We believe that APIs should be commoditized, and the moats will be built at the application layer. Check the pricing comparisons below, and see how the broken industry is saved.

I was right when I said that ASO is dead. It can't bring you users. It's just a page showing your ratings and reviews. $1.3k after 6 months is clear evidence of that.
Organic growth. Took 6 months to go from $0 to $1.3K+ in sales. According to Adapty, 58% of new apps earn less than $1,000 in their first 12 months. So I’m pretty lucky I guess.

I don't understand why you need a newsletter in 2026. You're simply adding an extra step between your content and your readers. Why not just post on X?

My latest post performed 5x better on Threads than on X. Definitely need to post there more often!

My new working setup! It feels so strange working on such a BIG screen! But I already like it. Much better than a 15-inch laptop.

Thinking about going to Web Summit in Lisbon this November. Do you think it’s worth it? Mostly interested in networking.

Advice: check your core monetization metrics hourly! This is already the second time our checkout has stopped working for 5 hours after an update, and we didn’t notice it immediately. We lost ~$1k because of that. It’s hard for me to imagine how guys like Zuck or Elon feel when their products stop working for few hours.

If you’re curious about how UGC works — this graph shows it pretty clearly. 1 viral video can boost all your metrics drastically. But once the video stops getting views, the metrics start going down again

We have a cool product that converts and a cool marketing channel that brings us customers. So, logically, what stops us from scaling it 10x? Nothing. But I realized that going from 0 to 1 and then scaling from 1 to 10 are two completely different things. It may sound easy, like: hire more creators, post more videos! But is it that easy? You hire more creators. You don’t have time to cherry-pick, so you hire as many as you can, as fast as you can. Result: your marketing costs increase, but revenue stays the same. Why? Because the new creators are not as good and their videos don’t convert. This is exactly what happened to us when we started hiring more aggressively for Natural Write a few months ago. Pretty soon, we went back to the quality over quantity approach we had before. So what I realized is that scaling needs to be designed properly: hiring, firing, bonuses, content, quality control — everything should work like a clock. More creators → more videos → more views → more revenue. Everything should scale proportionally. We decided to focus 100% on building such a system over the next 6 months. That’s what I believe can actually help us scale 10x. Nothing else. Best case: we scale our apps to $1m/mo. Worst case: we get some pretty interesting insights about scaling. Both are pretty good outcomes, so why not? Let’s see what happens!

I was pretty quiet on X because I’ve been FULLY locked in with our new app. It already reached $350k ARR, just 3 months after release. It’s the most successful app I’ve ever built in terms of growth.

90% of content today is vertical 9:16 videos and Apple makes a device THIS wide, which is just uncomfortable for vertical videos whats the point? 🤔

My worst booking experience so far… 1. I booked a hotel in Paris 2. Few weeks later, the hotel just canceled it due to some hacker attack 3. I called the hotel 5m later and tried to book another room — not possible, fully booked (surprise!) 4. Now a similar hotel costs $500 more So a hotel can literally cancel your reservation ANYTIME and you just have to deal with it?? 🤯

stripe, as well as apple, can make VERY good money by financing apps 1/ they know your metrics 2/ they take the money back automatically from your payouts 3/ you scale faster win-win

we have a lot of free users for now we do nothing with them and focus on paying customers but i am thinking: what if we give them some free usage for daily visits? like duolingo streaks could this actually work for SEO? 🤔

remember the days when we had this chicken-and-egg problem it was almost impossible to launch something like outbid but today its not really a problem anymore. few viral tweets— and its resolved
It's worth asking, how did outbid do so well? I will need to study how @jonathan_wilke started it but curious how he solved the chicken and egg problem of getting people to post to an empty site

before you start making your outbid alternative: people dont spend $12k for fun. they spend it to get positive ROAS outbid works because it has huge relevant (!) traffic, so outrank and other apps invest there otherwise its not gonna work 🤷‍♂️
results so far 👀 not insane but not bad but I don't think it would work for anyone Outrank converts quite well and I think it's a good fit as it also sells traffic to business owners
