I wasn't around from 2018-2020 (I was one of the many that left the space), but by all accounts, that crypto bear was WAY worse than the current one. It seems like the NFT bear however seems an order of magnitude worse than what's happening with the coins. Mass fear, mass capitulation, no real end in sight, lots of people leaving. Day after day, week after week, month after month of red. I think this is a good time to take a step back and zoom out. I know a LOT of people who have lost enormous sums of money (myself included), and it can feel pretty damn bad at times. Playing the "what if" game is hard to break out of. Comparing your current worth to your ATH net worth. Something that helps me is knowing how many people in crypto have lost it all and made it all back, simply by sticking around and working hard and being sensible and learning from past mistakes. The space is brutal. Absolutely brutal. Wallets get hacked/drained, centralized exchanges rug us, there's infinity scammers out there, the freaking UNITED STATES OF AMERICA seems out to get our industry at the best of times. If the reason you are here is purely to make money, you will probably always be going a little insane. But if you are here because you believe in something deeper -- because you GET the point of a decentralized, censorship-resistant, immutable, public, blockchain -- then it makes it a whole heck of a lot easier to stomach the swings. If you are here because of the people, the tech, the potential, anything, really, but number go up -- it makes it so much easier to maintain conviction. Not easy necessarily, just easier. If you're spiraling and feeling down, this is a REALLY great time to take a step away from Discord, Twitter, and checking your portfolio value. There's not much you can do right now about it -- you can try and buy or sell stuff but then you're trading at a time of peak emotional turmoil and I doubt you're going to be making rational choices. Take a few days, reset, relax, literally fucking touch grass, spend time with loved ones, catch up with friends, go to the movies, play diablo, whatever. It's just a great time to zoom out and take a break.

Some thoughts on our upcoming PFP project, and the best community in web3 you may not have heard of. TLDR: we're creating magic, and it's because of you. Last week I posted a novel-length announcement in the ZA Discord server. I spoke about a business pivot, and a refocus of our vision. I spoke about getting back to what made our community so special in the first place: educational content, and a community of learners working together to navigate a difficult-to-navigate space, together. Our community has 3 NFTs that act as membership tokens. 1 is free, with an unlimited supply, and open-forever mint. This is to make our community accessible. Education should be as free as possible for as many as possible for as long as possible. We have two more exclusive tiers, for those wanting different tiers of access and perks. The 333 Club (max 333 members) and {redacted name} (max 10k members). The community will be receiving a PFP soon. Free for all holders in the last two categories. Why a PFP? Simple. Social Identity, art, and fun. We're not building a metaverse, we're not gonna be the next Disney, we're not dropping a fungible token, and you're probably not gonna find some sucker to be your exit liquidity. What we are doing, however, is building a damn rock-solid community of excellent humans. People who are here for the freaking long run. People who want to LEARN, connect, network, and improve themselves. We are building something much larger than any of us, and building something that will exist decades from now. In what capacity? Who knows, but we ain't leaving. We're not a normal PFP project. We went community first, PFP second. We have introduced no ponzinomics, and we don't intend to. We launched in Nov 2021 when everyone was doing PFP projects, and wanted to be utility-first, education-first, community-first, and everything else second. We were the first project to do an application process (for the 333 club), and one of the first to do an open-edition (might have been the first for a membership club token). We've been here for almost 2 years now and have thousands of community members all around the globe. You might not have heard of us because we're not screaming hype-talk on the timeline; that is not our style. We're the quiet ones. We prefer bookshops over nightclubs, and discourse over drama. This is a call to invite anyone curious about what a real community looks like to join us. One where everyone isn't spamming chat grinding for WL, but where our members show a genuine interest in each other's lives and helping one another. If that sounds like something you might be interested in, we would absolutely love to welcome you into our family. Founders, devs, artists, degens, noobs, nerds. There's a place for everyone at ZenAcademy 💜 🔮
