It all started in June 2024 when a colleague told me, "You like politics, you should check out Polymarket."
Now, I've made over $50,000, with a sharpe ratio of 6.82 according to @hash_dive
Polymarket isn't gambling; it's an alternative investment opportunity. Proud to belong !

On June 13, Polymarket removed the taker delay for all World Cup matches. Here's what a goal looks like without it for the ARG win market at the 85' mark:
- 13,848 shares were resting within 5¢ of the ask when the ball crossed
- 90% of all cancels occurred within 65ms of each other
- First post-goal taker order lands 63ms behind the cancels and picks off less than $800
- Total sniped on a 3x book move: <$1,000 (600+ total active maker addresses, 11 adversely filled)

BREAKING: Messi now the favorite to win the Ballon d'Or on @Polymarket
I just realized my worst loss on @Polymarket, -$7,000. All because of the far-left candidate in the French presidential election, Marxine Le Pen. When it was announced she'd have to wear an electronic ankle monitor during her campaign, I thought she’d have the dignity to hand over the reins to her lieutenant Bardella, who openly identifies as right-wing and had a good chance of winning the election.
But nope, she’s running anyway, and risks losing yet again to the center. This woman is an absolute disaster.

>RN could win the presidential elections, let's indict Le Pen so she cannot run
1 year later
>Oh shit her successor Bardella is way more popular and could actually win, let's allow Le Pen to run after all
I'm sorry but Europe is ruled by a liberal / leftist deep state called the "judicial system". This is completely ridiculous and no different from what the Romanian judicial system pulled with Georgescu. The case against her was actually clear and even RN supporters knew it was.
.@Polymarket Can you please let us permanently choose our language in account settings? 🙏
The advantage that Trump's endorsement provides to a candidate is fading in a pretty impressive way this June:
-He supported Feenstra in IA (a few hours after I bet $2000 on his loss...), who still ended up losing. I’m really gutted because Feenstra was ultra-unpopular, but I sold for less by overestimating the effects of Trump's support.
-Today, Burt Jones loses in GA despite his support; Lahmeyer is in a very bad position for the runoff in OK-01.
-Pamela Evette is in a catastrophic dynamic in SC.
From now on, we will have to be very careful when pricing the effect that Trump's support will bring to a candidate. Right @mombil ? 🙂

Last November, I hosted a Polymarket tournament with @HiveLiveHQ, and this month we're running it back!
Many regulars in the space who are now making lots of money made some of their first trades in this tournament:
@nicoco89poly ran up >$200k from just $400, and has QUADRUPLED his PNL since playing in the tournament.
@UnyieldingGrit made $5k during the tournament and has since turned his $250 starting bankroll into over $100k
These are the stories I love to see in the PM community, and this tournament will create a new set of PM all-stars. Sign up by TONIGHT 11:59pm ET. $10k prize pool hivelive.io/landing-x
I've registered in the Hive World Cup! I hope to do as well as in the last tournament, where I managed to qualify for the final phase.
You can also compete with me and many other talented traders by registering before June 12th.

Since that tweet, in just over six months, I've earned $155,000 on @Polymarket, a return of 261%. All this starting from an initial investment of only $410 in June 2024, supplemented by an additional $3,000 six months later, which I never used for anything other than a cash cushion.
At the same time, I achieved an 11.59% return on my stock market investments (commodities ETF and 10-year Treasury ETF), similar to the performance of the S&P 500 (11.85%).
All this with a relatively low level of risk. I challenge anyone to achieve such performance in the stock market with a similar chart and volatility. And I'm far from the only one with this kind of chart on Polymarket.
So no, I don't regret having the majority of my investments on Polymarket 🙂
Oh my!
I'm in!

If you missed it, here’s the unique and absolutely amazing interview with @nicoco89poly
From that moment on, he became even better on Polymarket! (Polynoob has a positive influence🙂)
Here’s a short excerpt from the interview:
“I’ve been watching US presidential election night since I was 14”
It was truly a pleasure and a lot of fun to write this with him!

You can actually go 35-3. Just make this district for Austin and San Antonio.
You can also just have 1 Houston district actually. Trump wins every district by >11 even in 2020 on a 35-3 map. District voted for Harris by 37%. It's precisely 764k population.
"Wow Wojak, you finally did it! How’d you buy the Lambo? New job paying max? Or went all-in with leverage on a coin that 10x’d?
"Nah, I simply realized the bald eagle’s egg was gonna hatch later than expected, and 50x’d on Polymarket"
