Ok so Tanzania is live onchain 🇹🇿. Bank transfers crawl. Mobile money stops at the border. And if you’re a business trying to pay suppliers in globally or receive funds navigating multiple FX hops, hidden fees, and zero visibility is inevitable. We built @ntzs_co to fix this. nTZS is the first fully compliant digital Tanzanian Shilling pegged 1:1 to TZS, fully backed by bank deposits and government T-bills. It moves instantly. It settles in minutes, not days and runs 24/7. And it connects directly to global corridors through a single, seamless infrastructure. But here’s the real unlock: @ntzs_co is built for developers. - Embed wallets directly into your app - Enable instant payouts for drivers, workers, merchants and much more - Interoperable with other virtual-pegged assets, send cross-border, cash out to mobile money/ bank directly  - One API. Infinite use cases. If you’re building in fintech, logistics, gig economy, remittances, or e-commerce, nTZS is your settlement layer. Get started today at ntzs.co.tz We’’ve opened up access for developers now. 🔗 ntzs.co.tz/developers We’re already powering various usecases from local prediction markets to community financing to monetizing content for creators. Let’s build the future of money movement in Africa. Together. PS: Make sure to follow the account for more updates! @ntzs_co
Not tweeting again until this whole country gets onchain 👀🇹🇿

Africa faces a development financing gap exceeding US$400 billion per year. The New African Financial Architecture (NAFA), championed by the @AfDB_Group as part of the Four Cardinal Points strategic vision of @AfDBPresident Dr Ould Tah, proposes a systemic framework aimed at reorganising how capital and risk are deployed across the African financial ecosystem to close this gap. On 9 April, in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, the Bank Group will host a Consultative Dialogue on #NAFA under the patronage of H.E. President @AOuattara_PRCI of Côte d'Ivoire, and will be led by Bank Group President Sidi Ould Tah. ➡️ bit.ly/4mfDmCD

Message of Condolences by President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah following the Passing of Professor Keto ElitabuMshigeni   President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has learned with sadness about the passing of Professor Keto Elitabu Mshigeni who passed on Sunday, 22 March 2026, aged 82.   In her message of condolences, President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah says:   “I have learned with heartfelt sadness about the passing of Professor Keto Elitabu Mshigeni, who served as a Research Consultant at the University between 1991 and 1995 in the Faculty of Agriculture & Natural Sciences, where he contributed to early academic and research structuring.   Professor Mshigeni was a distinguished academic, renowned botanist, and a foundational figure in the establishment and early development of the University of Namibia (UNAM). Professor Mshigeni contributed immensely to the establishment of the UNAM and he also served as Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Administration and Finance (1995–1998), helping to put in place key governance, administrative, and financial systems in place.   Professor Mshigeni subsequently became the Founding Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Academic Affairs and Research from 1998–2001, where he played a central role in shaping the University’s academic architecture, programme development, and research direction.   Beyond institutional leadership, Professor Mshigeni was an accomplished scientist whose work in marine botany, seaweed aquaculture, and environmental sustainability made a significant contribution to Namibia’s research landscape.   He was also involved in the United Nations University’s Zero Emissions Research Initiative (UNU/ZERI) in Namibia, where he pioneered seaweed and mushroom cultivation projects as sustainable, low-impact livelihood and biodiversity initiatives.   On behalf of the people and the Government of the Republic of Namibia, I extend heartfelt condolences to the wife, children, grandchildren and the entire bereaved family and friends. During this difficult time of bereavement, our thoughts and prayers are with the entire bereaved family.   May his soul rest in eternal peace.”
