i work in marketing. content, brand, performance - the whole mix.
in the last two years basically every tool i use has become 'AI-powered'
some of it is genuinely useful. a lot of it is just regular software with a chatbot stapled on and a price increase
this account is me figuring out which is which in real time. i'll tell you when something actually replaced a task i used to do.
i'll also tell you when a $99/month tool produced something i could've written in 10 minutes
honest takes. occasional rants. no affiliate links 😭
salesforce paying $5.66B for braze and a 58% premium
marketers spent years being told the CRM should own the customer
apparently salesforce decided it also needs to own the part that actually sends them things 😭

netflix is heading into earnings with roughly $3B in 2026 ad revenue in the conversation
the marketer question i care about -
are people staying because the ad tier is good?!
or staying despite the ads because netflix is cheaper that way?!
those lead to very different ad products
meta has access to 200M+ businesses and now has muse sitting inside that machine
this is the bit i’d worry about if i sold an AI marketing tool -
your customer doesn’t need the best model
they need the button to already be inside the place they run ads
cardi doing an 8-song tiny desk in 18 minutes is so funny
no 14-minute documentary intro
no “let me tell you what this song means to me”
just music, chaos, next song
genuinely respect the throughput

running the model + agent on my own mac?? yeah i’m trying this immediately 😭
12-hour prompt caching could be a pretty big deal for teams running the same agent throughout the day. i'd love to see an actual before/after bill though. how much are we saving once the cache misses and refreshes are included??!!
a 2,049% streaming jump from one victoria's secret runway moment is ridiculous 😭 some artists spend six months planning an album rollout and one pair of angel wings does this
chatgpt now reaches 1.2B people a week and keeps adding more ad formats
somewhere a media buyer has already made a spreadsheet called -
CHATGPT TEST_v7_FINAL_final2.xlsx
we are so back
apparently the average large company is now using 183 AI tools
at that point the AI strategy is basically -
“we bought everything, somebody please make it talk to each other” 😭
🛠 OVERPRICED OR VALID? !
workday home
workday is turning Sana into the default front door for HR + finance and letting agents actually do tasks instead of just answer questions
useful?? yes.
but if an AI agent can touch payroll, approvals and employee data, “nice chat interface” is no longer the interesting bit
i'd want to know -
what can it actually write??
who approves the action??
what happens when it picks the wrong employee??
verdict - valid ✅
assuming the permissions page is better than the demo page
“there is no doubt in his mind” is exactly the level of confidence you want from a man who is about to learn something very publicly
openai says AI can either help us do more work or help us do less work
marketers heard - “great, so we can make 34 versions of the same campaign now”
technology has once again failed to protect us from ourselves
google ads is finally showing which query, headline and landing page AI Max stitched together for an ad
marketer translation -
we can now ask “why the hell did it do that??”
and occasionally receive an answer
x launched a dedicated Gametime thing for sports
which means somewhere right now a brand strategist is putting
“own the conversation around fourth quarter momentum”
into a deck
football fans i am so sorry
2023 marketer - can we get more reporting??
2026 marketer - can the AI please explain which version of the ad it made, who it showed it to, where it sent them and why it spent $8,000???
got the reporting i guess
okay THIS is a much better AI demo than “look, it wrote an email.” give me broken archaeology data and let me walk around the result like an extremely underqualified indiana jones
Reconstructing ancient ruins in 3D with Gemini 4 Argon 🏛️
Using Google @Antigravity and Blender MCP, see how Gemini 4 Argon supports digital heritage preservation by turning raw, fragmented archaeological data into fully explorable 3D worlds.
calling the song Clickbait and then dropping “the real reason Little Mix split” as promo is honestly commitment to the bit. marketing team understood the assignment a little too well 😭
Leigh-Anne shares an article about “the real reason why Little Mix split” to promote her new single ‘Clickbait.’

an AI country project has a song sitting at 32M+ spotify plays
marketing brain - fascinating distribution story
music brain - ok but who am i becoming emotionally attached to here 😭
