Fall has entered the chat. 🍂 Quaking aspens turn beautiful shades of yellow in the fall, shimmering as the sun dances across their leaves. Photo by Jim Grindley

In 1997, a developer publicly told Steve Jobs he had no idea what he was talking about. Jobs paused and answered with the most important business lesson ever delivered under pressure. Bookmark & watch today, no matter what.

When I first started the @honnoldfound, I was pretty much a dirtbag climber living out of my van in Yosemite and pursuing my goals in climbing. But I also knew that I wanted to do something a bit more useful in the world. So for our work at HF to be recognized by @TIME, not just because of my climbing, is pretty neat.   So far, we've committed more than $23M to support 200+ solar projects across 20+ countries, from the United States to the Amazon. But there's still a massive pipeline of need out there. One of our main goals is to not trying to build an endowment, because there's no point in saving for some future day when there's so much potential tosupport communities, right now. Any gift we get goes straight to Partners' projects. So if you're someone who wants to see some good happen in the world, consider making a donation to HF, and we'll keep funding more good work. You can also read the full article to learn more about HF's latest work and hear a few examples from our partner projects.  Oh, and It feels important to mention that the real trailblazers are the community leaders who champion solar solutions in their communities. time.com/collection/time-tra…

In 1963, JFK warned against treating war as inevitable. More than six decades later, that warning remains urgently relevant. WBW Board Member @aliceslater connects that historic speech to today’s nuclear dangers & U.S. militarism. worldbeyondwar.org/video-jfk…

Norway's youth sports model is super unique: • No scorekeeping until age 13 • Participation trophies for everyone • No travel teams or national championships • No online publishing of scores or athlete rankings • Parents typically spend less than $1,000 per child per year The result? A 93% participation rate — 40 points higher than the U.S. — and more Winter Olympic medals than any other country in history, despite Norway having a population comparable to the Philadelphia metro area (5.6 million). And it's not just winter sports... Norway now produces some of the world’s best summer sport athletes, including Erling Haaland (soccer), Casper Ruud (tennis), Viktor Hovland (golf), and Jakob Ingebrigtsen (track and field). So if you want to learn more about how Norway's youth sports system actually works (and what other countries can learn from it), here's an essay I recently wrote during the Winter Olympics that breaks it all down. There's a whole lot of history in the tracks of these Utah legends.

Junior Bounous helped finesse the modern powder skiing technique alongside Alf Engen and is still making turns as centenarian. Craig has spent 26yrs “Keeping You On Top” as a beloved forecaster with @utavy_.

This feels like a tipping point in the history of war, the Agincourt of the 21st century.
‼️ ZELENSKYY: For the first time in the war, an enemy position was captured entirely by ground robotic systems and drones - without any infantry. A robot entered the most dangerous zones instead of a soldier and took the positions. «The future is here, on the battlefield, and Ukraine is creating it. These are our ground robotic systems. For the first time in this war's history, an enemy position was taken exclusively by unmanned GRS platforms and drones. The occupiers surrendered, and this operation was completed without infantry involvement and without losses on our side. Ratel, Termite, Ardal, Lynx, Zmiy, Protector, Volya and other GRS completed over 22 000 missions at the front in just 3 months. In other words, over 22 000 times lives were saved. A robot went into the most dangerous zones instead of a soldier» - Zelenskyy’s address to the workers of Ukraine’s defense-industrial complex. April 13th, 2026.
