It's not just the pyramid scheme, which was obvious, you can't 'explode' money exponentially from nothing, it has to come from somewhere; But is is also the competition that it was based on, the mentality it created. Of course, I also participated, just in the hope it would become true, because many of us are operating at levels of near-bankruptcy. But is is deep down not healthy to infect commons-based projects with competition for scarce funding (the promised abundance only comes from massive internal mobilization of the in-group, so just as in network marketing, you need to 'exploit' your own in-group first).

@zachxbt over 20m USD missing. This might be mismanagement and SPOF only, anything else would be even more hurtful to all the people that have raised money for charitable / impact projects.

Notwithstanding health issues from the founder, i genuinely did not expect such a dishonorable exit by artizen where creators spent months rallying fans to contribute only to realise it was all uncompensated labor without any bonus or match funding on top of community contributions
I used to proudly hold up artizen as an example of a PGF project that became stronger in the bear market unlike its peers from the 2021 era
However it appears that all their claims of millions raised in an endowment for creators were simply untrue if they can't even honour outstanding obligations before folding up
Today's news of @Artizen folding is an awful shock. Funding regenerative projects has always been incredibly hard because people who most want to enact change often do not have purchasing power to match.
Quadratic & matching funding met this need, Artizen seemed to show promise but we're back to square one. Projects have been promised their funds back back without any of the matching amounts, and also minus the platform fees.
It's a damn shame, situation still ongoing. If you had a fund on there and a community that you rallied to the cause we need to document it all. @breadcoop @RegenCoordinate @gardens_fund @tdfinyourdreams @crypto4commons

Big investigation coming out: Indonesia 1965 - How Germany armed & financed a Genocide .
Out: 30 September 2026
For months I have worked through more than 1,000 pages of declassified German archives on what many call the genocide against communists in Indonesia.

Israel's election committee banned both major Arab parties four weeks before the election.
If it wasn’t already clear, Netanyahu and his far-right allies want an Israel where Palestinian citizens, 20% of the population, have no voice at all.
NO MORE U.S. MILITARY AID TO ISRAEL

Show this to anybody who still denies the genocide.
These were all people's homes. Completely and totally destroyed.
These images should haunt those who enabled Israel's crimes against humanity - and we will never give up until there is justice for the Palestinian people.

Have you ever been to a conference where the attendees set the agenda themselves?
It's called "Unconferencing" or "open space" technology and we're big fans!
We believe this helps attendees access the potential of the shared genius in the room and the moment where we meet.

THIS IS CRAZY:
🇺🇸 Weeks ago we started tracking a whale.
11 oil trades. 11 wins. Perfect timing. Every time.
BBC validated it. White House denied it.
Now a reporter asked Trump directly.
"Are you concerned about insider trading?"
Trump: "The world is a casino. It is what it is."
Trade on a tip from your friend. Federal prison. Front-run a war decision with $17 million. No consequences.
The President just told you the rules don't apply to everyone.
The game is rigged. He just confirmed it.
MASSIVE:
🇺🇸 The BBC just validated everything we've been saying.
A clear pattern of trades right before major Trump announcements.
Iran war. Tariff reversals. Policy shifts.
We tracked a whale for weeks.
0 losses. 11 wins. 100% win rate.
You would go to prison for trading on a tip from your cousin.
They front-run war decisions with billion dollar bets.
Now the BBC has the receipts.
Nobody will be investigated.
Nobody will be charged.
The game is rigged. And now the world knows it.

Israel destroyed the statue of Jesus Christ in the Christian village of Debel, South Lebanon.
Now they’re bulldozing the solar panels that provide electricity and water.
Not military targets.
Critical infrastructure.
This is the deliberate targeting of civilian life.
It’s interesting that this crucifix stood in Lebanon untouched amongst our supposed enemies, yet 5 seconds after “our greatest ally” invades the country, they destroy an icon of Jesus.

Tim Cook donated $1M to Trump’s inauguration.
He fawned over Trump and gifted him a 24-karat gold plaque (as Apple lobbied for tariff exemptions).
Apple donated to Trump’s ballroom.
And it removed ICE tracking apps from its stores after a demand from the DOJ.
Remember this.

Warren Buffett says if the top 800 other major corporations paid what Berkshire Hathaway did in taxes, Americans wouldn't have to pay a dime in income taxes, or any taxes
“If we send in a check like we did last year, we send in over $5 billion to the US federal government, and of 800 other companies had done the same thing. No other person in the United States would've had to pay a dime of federal taxes. Other income taxes, no social security taxes, no estate taxes — It doesn't bother me in the least to write that check, and I would really hope with all the America's done for all of you, it shouldn't bother you that we do it”
You understand what he’s saying here right? We are subsidizing corporations cheating on taxes with our income tax
Abolish the Income Tax
