Big news as Aviva Investors announces the launch of a tokenized share class of the Aviva Investors Sterling (GBP) Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger.
The Sterling (GBP) Liquidity Fund is Aviva Investors’ largest fund at around £22 billion in assets under management, and this move marks an expansion of Aviva Investors’ tokenised fund offering, following the launch of its tokenized USD Liquidity Fund in July.
Investors receive the same protections as those in the conventional fund, which was initially launched in 2002.
Markets are moving to 24/7 access and real-time settlement. This is what that looks like in practice.

Couldn't agree more. This leaves a very bad precedent for future bugs and it's not the first time. Ripple is known for being cheap and not giving enough support where it's needed. They have no problem spending millions in events and PR campaigns, but when it comes to really supporting XRPL and its builders thry become reluctant and give these ridiculous amounts. The XRPL ecosystem is in a very sad state right now and it keeps getting worse.

I first proposed fee abstraction for Fantom in 2019. Formalized it into a spec called fee subsidies in 2021. Cool to see if finally implemented as fee sponsorship in 2026 as part of the v2.2 release. Still some catches like revert drain spam that needs to be addressed, and I think I do have a better solution, but still very cool;
