Today is a good reminder of why systems like @flyingtulip_ x Circuit Breaker matter.
Polymarket suffered a ~$2.65M security incident, while ~$2.77B moving out of Binance-linked wallets triggered hack fears across the market.
In DeFi, you can’t assume every exploit will be prevented. What matters is also how much damage can be done once something goes wrong.
Flying Tulip’s Circuit Breaker rate-limits abnormal outflows, effectively putting a speed limit on withdrawals and giving the system time to react before an attacker can drain a much larger amount.
That kind of built-in protection can make all the difference when things go wrong. 🌷

🚨 Today's events are another reminder of why security infrastructure matters in DeFi.
Polymarket suffered a confirmed third-party security breach, with approximately $2.65M linked to suspicious onchain activity.
Meanwhile, Binance is possibly facing over $2B hack.
This is where Flying Tulip approach to security comes into action.
@flyingtulip_ circuit breaker mechanism is designed to provide an emergency response when abnormal activity or a potential exploit threatens the protocol.
The principle is simple
detect a threat, restrict vulnerable operations and contain the damage before it spreads.
Instead of allowing suspicious activity to continue unchecked, circuit breakers can give a protocol the ability to intervene at critical moments.
It matters because in DeFi or as you can see CeFi, millions can disappear within seconds, having mechanisms designed to contain an incident can make an enormous difference.
Security isn't just about preventing an exploit. It's also about how quickly a protocol can respond when something goes wrong.
Flying Tulip infrastructure is the solution.

ANDRE CRONJE'S FLYING TULIP TARGETS DEFI EXPLOITS WITH CIRCUIT BREAKER
Andre Cronje’s (@AndreCronjeTech) Flying Tulip (@flyingtulip_) has introduced a circuit breaker mechanism for DeFi lending.
The system rate limits fund outflows during abnormal withdrawal activity. It is designed to detect patterns linked to exploits or coordinated attacks.
By slowing withdrawals, it prevents rapid draining of protocol liquidity.
The mechanism gives teams time to respond while protecting user capital.

Flying Tulip’s Total Return Swap (TRS) has no auto-deleveraging (ADL). A profitable position isn’t forcibly reduced to cover another trader’s loss.
Lend, Trade and TRS share the same margin account. Collateral keeps earning yield while an order waits. After execution, users pay borrowing costs while earning yield on collateral and leveraged exposure.

Have a look at $FT.
Nearly $2M in buy orders sitting around NAV, while the visible sell side liquidity is considerably thinner.
Now watch how Flying Tulip's mechanism works.
When holders withdraw from their perpetual PUTs, the backing capital is deployed into NAV buy orders. That capital earns yield while waiting to fill.
When those orders execute, the purchased FT is burned. The yield also funds additional spot buybacks, which are burned too.
So we're looking at a system where capital provides buy side liquidity, generates yield and continuously creates opportunities to remove FT from circulation.
Now imagine this mechanism alongside growing platform adoption and demand for FT.
The supply dynamics is rare.
Genius🌷
Every ethereum:0x5dd1a7a369e8273371d2dbf9d83356057088082c entering circulation comes from a withdrawal from a Perpetual PUT.
At the same time, the PUT backing capital is deployed into limit buy orders at NAV on Flying Tulip’s Trade.
That capital earns yield while waiting to fill. The yield funds additional FT purchases at spot. FT bought through both routes is burned.

There is no active counterparty in TRS. For a leveraged BTC long, the protocol borrows USDC and buys BTC.

Working on something to add community driven dynamic selection, should be some interesting game theory.

Protocol buybacks + NAV buybacks burns over $3m worth at this point. That's $3m worth of tokens bought with revenue in 8 months. Highest for any protocol.

Vault in the spotlight: Staked Flying Tulip USD from @flyingtulip_
Last month, yielding 10% annualised.
Flying Tulip uses several underlying strategies to generate yield
- Stablecoin lending and savings: supply stablecoins to Aave and Spark to earn interest.
- Lending-based delta-neutral carry: post stablecoin collateral, borrow a native asset such as ETH, then stake it. Earn the difference between staking returns and borrowing costs.
- Crypto-collateral carry: deposit a yield-bearing asset such as staked ETH, borrow matching ETH exposure, sell the borrowed ETH into dollars and deploy those dollars for yield.
- Peg arbitrage and CFD/perpetual: coming soon
Flying Tulip is an onchain financial platform from @AndreCronjeTech. It made notable headlines with an innovative funding model: all $200M raised for the project is used as principal for DeFi strategies, and the team lives off the profits only.
Performance includes Flying Tuplid rewards valued through the Ethereum FT/ftUSD Curve pool. We are also currently modelling USDC entry and exit costs at 0.1%, since ftUSD isn't yet adopted elsewhere. Without this, monthly gross return is 12%

Yield consistency is just as important as high yield. But both is better.

Flying Tulip’s Swap, Trade and TRS source quotes across available onchain liquidity using RFQ (request-for-quote) execution.
The goal: find the best executable price for users by accessing liquidity across the chain, rather than relying on a single pool or venue.
