"HORNBILL WARRIOR TREK" at Wokha, Nagaland
is a unique initiative aimed at developing endurance, resilience, leadership and a spirit of adventure among NCC cadets. During this eight-day camp, 515 cadets representing four NCC Directorates will undertake three mountain treks along with specialised training in jungle survival techniques. These activities will expose cadets to the challenges of the outdoors, enhance their survival skills, foster teamwork and inculcate self-confidence. The trek reflects NCC’s commitment to shaping disciplined, resilient and adventure-oriented youth, while promoting national integration and camaraderie among cadets from different regions of the country.”

Military Hospital Attachment for NCC Cadets at Dinjan, Assam.
A 10-day Military Hospital Attachment was conducted at #MilitaryHospitalDinjan, Assam, for 40 NCC cadets, comprising 35 cadets from #46AssamMedicalCompanyNCC and 5 cadets from #63AssamBattalionNCC, with the aim of fostering a spirit of service, discipline and preparedness among the youth.
Under expert supervision, the cadets received hands-on training in triage, casualty management, first aid and emergency medical response. They also actively participated in the validation of the raising of 100 Crisis Expansion Beds, gaining valuable insights into the Indian Army’s medical support system and its preparedness for mass-casualty situations.
The initiative enhanced the cadets’ confidence, strengthened their emergency response skills and reinforced the values of selfless service, leadership and nation-building.

30 Assam Bn NCC Training Camp Concludes at Guwahati
Around 500 NCC cadets participated in the training camp held at Sarusujai Stadium, Guwahati, from 08–17 Oct 2026. The camp honed their skills in drill, map reading, firing & disaster management, fostering leadership, discipline, patriotism and teamwork towards building responsible citizens for Viksit Bharat 2047.

BAILEY’S TRAIL TREK, FINAL LEG 🇮🇳
From Jithang to Sangti Valley, the NCC cadets of the North Eastern Region Directorate have completed an extraordinary high-altitude foot trek spanning over 150 km, traversing formidable terrain at heights ranging from 14,000 to 16,700 ft under difficult climatic conditions. Battling the vagaries of mountain weather and the ruggedness of the Eastern Himalayas, their spirit remained indomitable and commitment to the cause unwavering.
Beyond endurance and adventure, the cadets carried the message of Unity in Diversity, National Integration, environmental preservation and promotion of border-area tourism, embodying the resilience, discipline and patriotic fervour of India’s youth.
As Sangti Valley marks the final point of this arduous foot traverse, the journey stands as a testament to courage, camaraderie and the determination to overcome every obstacle.

Rising Sun Trek (NER TREK-1)
The 8-day NCC national camp, Rising Sun Trek, concluded at Itanagar with a dynamic celebration of fitness, unity, and friendship among 550 cadets from 13 states.
To mark the culmination, the young NCC cadets organised high-energy athletic track events, friendly matches, and fun games. By competing together and sharing skills, the cadets built lifelong bonds, making national integration a lived experience.
The camp wrapped up with an inspiring closing address, urging the youth to embrace India's cultural diversity, share knowledge, and spread mutual love. The event successfully deepened the cadets' desire to explore the country's hidden treasures through similar future camps.

First NCC All Girls Paramotors Adventure Course was conducted in Guwahati. 30 Girls from different parts of the country took part in the course which was conducted for 15 days under trained instructors. Girls from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana , Karnataka, Goa,Nagaland and Assam took part. All 30 Girls undertook Single Solo Flying and were awarded with wings and certificates.

A Rank Ceremony was conducted at JDSG College, Bokakhat, on 16 Oct 2026, with the participation of 120 NCC cadets (80 SD & 40 SW).
The event was attended by Lt Col Atong Konyak, AO, 12 Assam NCC Bn, Golaghat, Mr Prasanta Saikia, Vice Principal, Mrs Neebha Noni Baruah, Academic In-charge; Nb Sub Mintu Nath, Training JCO, Lt Mintu Tokbi, ANO, 12 Assam NCC Bn; Lt Hirimpa Saikia, ANO, 74 Assam Girls (I) Coy NCC; and Mr Krishna Rongpi, Assistant Professor, Department of Assamese.
In a powerful and inspiring motivational address, Lt Col Atong Konyak urged the cadets to embrace discipline, uphold responsibility and maintain regular attendance as the foundation of success. He encouraged them to set ambitious goals, develop unwavering commitment and seize the opportunities offered by the NCC. 18 Associate NCC Officers and 550 cadets from 13 states, representing five NCC Directorates and forming part of the Rising Sun Trek Camp in Itanagar—explored Arunachal Pradesh’s rich biodiversity, cultural heritage and history under the National Integration programme. Visiting Ganga Lake, Itanagar Zoo, Jawaharlal Nehru State Museum, and the local markets showcased how the state's unique identity forms an integral part of the larger Indian mosaic.
Through evening presentations showcasing their respective home states, these young leaders actively broke down regional barriers. By exchanging cultural insights and mementoes belonging to their states, they replaced geographic distances with lifelong cross-country friendships, beautifully embodying the true spirit of "Unity in Diversity" and reinforcing our national brotherhood.

🇮🇳 An outreach program was conducted by Army Recruiting Office (AR0) #Rangapahar on 15 Oct 2026 at 24 Assam Rifle Complex #Wokha in coordination with 25 #Nagaland Bn #NCC to motivate and guide young NCC cadets towards a Career Option in the #IndianArmy by enhancing awareness of the various entry schemes and opportunities available to aspiring candidates.
🪖 The program was attended by Officers , Instructors and over 421 Cadets.
📑 Representatives from the recruiting office provided detailed information about various entry schemes, including NDA, Direct Entry , Tech Entry ,OTA, MNS, TA and NCC spl entry, as well as the eligibility criteria and benefits of a military career.

Strengthening Partnerships, Empowering Youth 🇮🇳
The Special Joint State Representatives & Additional Director General’s Conference 2026 was held at Guwahati on 15 October under the aegis of NCC North Eastern Region Directorate, chaired by the Hon’ble Raksha Rajya Mantri.
The Conference was attended by Lt Gen Virendra Vats, YSM, SM, VSM, Director General NCC, the Additional Director Generals of NCC NER and WB&S Directorates, Hon’ble Ministers and senior representatives of the State Governments of all nine States under the two Directorates.
Deliberations focused on cadet welfare, training, institutional strengthening and enhanced Centre–State coordination, reaffirming a collective commitment to expanding NCC’s reach and nurturing disciplined, confident and responsible youth for nation-building.

🇮🇳 National Cadet Corps (NCC) organised the Special JSR & AD Conference 2026 at Guwahati, chaired by Hon’ble Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri Sanjay Seth, Hon'ble Ministers and senior official of all 9 states, with senior representatives of MoD, and NCC. 🏛️
Hon’ble RRM appreciated the participation of North Eastern cadets in RDC and the increasing enrolment of girl cadets, reflecting the spirit of #NariShakti. 👏👩✈️ Emphasising Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi ji’s vision, he called for expanding NCC from 17 lakh to 20 lakh cadets, motivating youth towards #NationFirst, and urged all nine States to formulate actionable plans for NCC expansion, stronger infrastructure and improved training facilities. 📈🎯 He reaffirmed the Central Government’s full support towards strengthening NCC in the North Eastern Region. 🤝 The conference deliberated on expanding NCC coverage, strengthening training infrastructure, cadet welfare, institutional development and addressing administrative challenges, with special emphasis on the North Eastern Region, West Bengal and Sikkim. 🏗️
