Been wanting to remodel our backyard, figured it was a good opportunity to for me to work on 3D modeling and real-time visualization. Using Fusion, Sketchup, and Twinmotion. Bummed that Twinmotion doesn't have raytracing on Mac, might actually be what makes me get a PC...

Unfortunately, I started working on it while I was away from home so I didn't have exact dimensions, and I don't have as much space as I thought. Took real measurements and need to adjust, but it looks pretty!

The tiki bar is actually an old model I made in Sketchup before we built it in 2020. Just imported it into Twinmotion and away I went. It's wild how much easier these tools are to use than just a few years ago.

Hyperdeck users... it seems like an old version of the Hyperdeck Mini had two SDI outs (A/B key/fill), the current model does not... I can't find specs on the older model to know why the updated nerfed it in this one major way...

Gone further down the rabbit hole... the older gen is indeed better, it played 4K as well... on eBay it's tough to find a used model at MSRP... they are now worth nearly as much as the larger Plus model ironically...

Ok, some logic. The older Mini was priced to match the current gen Plus, which DOES have all the same features, plus some added ones. So the new Mini is effectively a cheaper model, and the plus replaced the old mini. This has been my oversharing journey on Hyperdeck models.

To all of you far-right snowflakes who now refuse to drink Anheuser-Busch products like Budweiser or Bud Light now that they appear to support transgender star Dylan Mulvaney, good luck finding another beer. These bigots are all now saying “I’m switching to Coors Light, Miller Lite.” The problem for them is that virtually every major beer company, including Molson Coors and Constellation Brands (maker of Corona and Modelo), Heinekin and others have multiple programs that also support the LGBTQ+ communities. LGBTQ+ support isn't the problem. Bigotry is the problem!
