🌀 Patients with persistent pain can go through a cycle of suffering in which, if they do not get adequate pain control, it leads to a sense of failure which in turn leads to poor outcomes. ✅ Learn more on the new lecture by @nakedphysio 🔗 trustme-ed.com/lectures/conc…

🤕 Chronic secondary headaches are persistent headaches which result from some sort of trauma like concussion or a whiplash associated disorder. It differs from something like chronic primary headache, which is idiopathic. @nakedphysio 🔗 trustme-ed.com/lectures/conc…

I’m struggling to understand this. How do I reconcile natural healing and RTM in line with this? it suggests that pathoanatomy is just a part of tissue change, I understand, which from a materialist perspective would help to explain, I suspect in part, pain trajectory research.
Tissue with pathology including degen changes can become symptomatic then settle to asymptomatic because of injury, other systemic & disease issues that fluctuate. The body attempts repair. Pain is usually associated with some pathology, but the reverse does not have to be true

msk physio friends who order x-rays, I'd be super grateful if you could spend 2-3 mins helping me with this study for a great colleague, and sharing it would be amazing too.... @thecsp @The_HCPC #physio #xray #fcp #mcat #aap app.onlinesurveys.jisc.ac.uk…

I respect your skepticism and caution James. You can see who I am if you go to my about section of my blog. But then I am a hypocrite because having a moniker as mine has most likely got me followers. Albeit likely 70% are probably pornbots.

@Philip_Goff found your podcast via @iamstephenwest loved this episode. In terms of your points on evidence for strong emergence of consciousness in the brain and your points on locality. 1/2 podcasts.apple.com/nz/podcas…

Is there any theoretical evidence for the arguments of Bergsonian duration over spatialisation for a strong emergence of consciousness? Duration being a metaphysical concept to describe the emergent power of tendency and change.

Has anyone who has strongly opposed and explicitly spoken out about @hubermanlab recent podcast on back pain contacted him to discuss what was shared and offered a different perspective?

You’ve hit the nail here. Indeed echo chambers. Although I recall a conversation with @kieranosull when he did share evidence based back pain facts, which was broken down, there was a significant amount of opposition from the general public.
Replying to @PeteOSullivanPT
I get that he missed the mark here.......but to illuminate what he said wrong w/o breaking down what he should've said is just an incomplete story that only your peers will care about. The general public and the general practitioner needs you to be better at implementation.
